Where Corey Smith could have taken the generic route to country music stardom, the singer and songwriter from Jefferson, Georgia chose a slightly different approach. A self-described progressive country musician, Smith has been unashamed in expressing non-conservative opinions that could have landed him in the disgraces of country fans. A testament to his disregard for ignorance, the singer instead amassed an audience that has embraced both his music and outspokenness.
We are friends of corey and love to see him perform:) This was our first time at Chastain Park and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. He put on an awesome show!!!! We will definitely be back to see him again.
Corey Smith and his band members put on an fantastic show last night, ending with as much energy as they started with!! Loved the singalong part of the show and the ending was superb!! Awesome drummer, really knows his stuff!!
Corey Smith at Chastain is always an unbelievable experience! The Randy Rogers band opened and were really good! It was cool to have them all the way form Texas to come jam. Then Corey came on stage and rocked for 2+ hours!!
i love corey smith and am a big fan of his songs. but sitting on the lawn i couldnt really hear his music and that was a big dissapointment.
corey smith was awesome!! he always is--love his songs and he always gets the crowd going! only downside is i wish sound was a little louder!!!
Corey Smith is so down to earth. The environment was great! The tickets are affordable.
Corey Smith himself was amazing. He is always an excellent performer. However, the crowd was overrun with underage high school kids! It was more of a social hour than anything else. All around us, kids were running up and down the stairs, socializing, standing up, and talking and screaming to each other. I paid for my ticket with my own hard-earned cash, not mommy and daddy's money! I want to see a show, not social hour. The kids behind us were sitting on the back of my chair, constantly hitting me in the head until i slapped one on the back and told him to move it. They were also smoking weed. At that point, we made the decision to leave, only an hour into the show. I am saddened that I had to miss such an amazing performer because of such an immature crowd. In the future, Corey Smith shows-and probably most shows-should be 21 and up. High school aged CHILDREN should not be allowed in to a show if they cannot show at least a small amount of respect for those around them!

This was my 1st time actually getting to see Corey Smith live, as I unfortunately had to miss his last show in Athens. I love his music and had seen a few videos, but nothing prepared me for this experience. What really surpised me was not just how good he sounded live, or the talent of his bandmembers, but the diversity of the crowd. Yes, there were a lot of typical UGA students and fans, as expected, but we saw familes, little children, and were even seated next to a couple that I am guessing were the same age as my parents.
the show was sold out, everybody was drunk. he played all of his most praised songs!
Great music, great weather, great location, great concert!

Corey Smith is a great live performer, he sounds EXACTLY like he does on his CD! I really enjoyed the show, but the crowd definitely made it! Hope to see him again soon!
Corey Smith was a great concert.. he picked good songs to play and was very entertaining.. it rained almost the whole time but that just made the experience that much more unforgettable!
