Corazón de Maná In Concert
"Strikingly similar to Maná," "excellent interpretation of songs with quality," and "concerts filled with maximum energy and plenty of professionalism" are just a few responses describing Corazón de Maná's riveting live performances. The Los Angeles-based tribute band — comprised of five rock en español fanatics who joined forces because of their equal appreciation for Mexico's beloved rock legends — have been rocking out the bangers of the original Tapatíos since circa 2015.
Founded by veteran rockero Armando Vega, who plays Fher Olvera's role as lead vocalist, this SoCal tribute band has earned the respect and admiration of myriad Maná followers for doing justice to the original songs. With their knack for churning out brilliant renditions of Maná's sunny rock en español and emotional pop ballads, spectators can dance, swoon, and sing along to the feel-good classics of Maná. Some concertgoers have noted that they can see but not hear any difference and, with eyes closed, would have a hard time distinguishing the two bands.
Their stage name is a nod to Maná's wildly successful hit "Corazón Espinado," famously featuring Carlos Santana. It also honors the Guadalajara pop rockers' prowess for writing Spanish-sung rock jams with heart. Spanning more than 30 years of Maná classics, Corazón de Maná's concert staples include "Me Vale," "Labios Compartidos," "Oye Mi Amor," "Clavado en un Bar."
With Maná earning recent recognition in the form of 2018's Person of the Year award from the Latin Recording Academy (the first time a band has received this prestigious award), there is renewed hype around these Angeleno rockeros with their Mexican metal edge.
