BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Constantines were formed in 1999 by friends Steve Lambke, Bryan Webb, Dallas Wehrle, and Doug MacGregor in their hometown of Ontario. The group spent the first few years honing their punk-rock sound before they released their self-titled 2001 debut, which earned a Juno Award for Best Alternative Album. After the departure of some band members, they added Will Kidman (keys) to the lineup and followed up with the sophomore release Shine a Light in 2003. The album received widespread acclaim from major publications like AllMusic and Pitchfork, and the band headed out on tour alongside the Weakerthans to support the record. Since then the band has released two more popular albums, had their music featured on popular television shows like Beautiful Noise, and collaborated with artists like Feist. Constantines always deliver hit-filled sets and infectious energy for their devoted followers every time they take the stage.
