    Connie Smith just can't be beat. And Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives are the icing on the cake. It was an amazing show that I am so blessed to have witnessed!

    This was the best show or concert I've ever been to. Connie was beautiful and sounded as good as she always does. Marty and the Fabulous Superlatives did great so did Connie's steel player, Eddie Lang. If all concerts or shows were as good as Connie's I'd go all the time. Connie just has this ability to make everyone feel like family or at the very least old friends, especially when you can talk to her one on one.

    My husband and I drove up to Philadelphia, MS from New Orleans to hear Connie Smith and Marty Stuart render a moving tribute to Merle Haggard. Connie sounded just amazing, and Marty and the Fabulous Superlatives were pretty much flawless. Mixed with personal stories and reminiscences of their close friendship with Merle, they performed some of his lesser-known songs but hit all the high notes for me on such classics as Sing Me Back Home, Lonesome Fugitive and the aching, Silver Wings. All in all a great show and a fun night in the lovely Ellis Theater. We also enjoyed all the photos displayed in the lobby.

    The Ellis Theater is the best venue for up close and personal shows like this one. Connie Smith and Marty Stuart interacted with the crowd on a personal level. It was a great show and the love that they have for each other is evident. They were so real and that made the show even better. The Fabulous Superlatives are the most talented group of performers to ever cross that stage. We could not have been more pleased with the music and the entertainment that night. Can’t wait to see them again!

    What a treat to hear Connie Smith tributing Merl Haggard, accompanied by Marty Stuart and the fabulous superlatives! Great venue, great show, and a bonus: Earlier that afternoon, there was a special ceremony honoring Connie Smith and unveiling her mural near the Ellis Theatre!
