Connecticut Sun History
The Connecticut Sun are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Launched as the Orlando Miracle in 1999, the franchise was purchased in 2003 by the Mohegan Tribe, who became the first Native American tribe to own a professional sports team, and moved them to their current home in Uncasville, Connecticut. The Sun have advanced to four WNBA Finals, in 2004, 2005, 2019 and 2022, and topped the Eastern Conference five times. Sun players have earned six All-WNBA First Team selections and two MVP awards, for Tina Charles in 2012 and Jonquel Jones in 2021. In both 2023 and 2024, the Connecticut Sun advanced to the first round of the WNBA postseason.

Mohegan Sun Arena, home of the Connecticut Sun, sits inside the Mohegan Sun casino and resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. The 9,323-seat facility opened in 2001 and has hosted a wide range of events from concerts to wrestling event to bull riding competitions. Mohegan Sun Arena has also held several WNBA Finals matches, as well as WNBA All-Star games, in 2005, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2015.

Bought these tickets as part of a bday gift for my girlfriend, let's just say it was also a gift to myself as well. Definitely a 10 out of 10 experience. Just bought tickets for this Sunday's game as well! Keep it up ladies
The Sun-Liberty game was close for 3 quarters and then the Sun ran away with it in the fourth. Exciting game, played at a fast pace. Both teams showed a lot of ball movement; the Sun forced more turnovers and outscored the Liberty on points off turnovers, which was probably the difference maker in the game. Several players had excellent games, for both teams. Sabrina Ionescu of the Liberty had a so-so game but had flashes of brilliance that showed how exciting and skilled a player she can be. WNBA basketball is a higher-quality game than I think most people realize, because it lacks the above-the-rim thunderous dunks of the NBA. It makes up for that with more, and better, team play than you typically see in the NBA unless you're watching the Golden State Warriors and maybe one or two other teams. The "events" during timeouts and other breaks in play were fun. Everything about the experience was a positive. I'll definitely be back!
First WNBA game & it was incredible. To win in overtime, couldnt.ask for a better game
No longer impressed by the CT SUN. It seems their more interested in the “political” arena the SUN arena. When a fan supported team leaves the arena when the National Anthem is played ….I am no longer interested in them!!
Now in fairness they were front row seats next to the visiting bench, but I took my 5 year old for her birthday from Boston so we were right there. All the players on both teams were so friendly with my daughter and all the season ticket holders around us were so friendly and helpful. If I lived closer I'd go to a lot of games, the WNBA has come a long way since it first started and the level of skill and competition was first class. Really great way to spend a Wednesday night.
The Connecticut Sun players gave fist bumps and autographs to my kids. They had a great time and immediately asked to come to the next game.
Loved watching basketball since I was younger and still do till this day

This was our first time watching the Connecticut Sun in person and it was wonderful! The staff was so courteous and helpful, they answered my questions willingly. The Arena is a great place to see a Professional basketball game because it is a perfect size- not too big or not too small. Our seats were great and we had a perfect view of the action. I only wish I had gotten a Sun towel that they gave out free on the first level seats, but maybe next time.
Game was great! Had it’s drama as the Sun fell behind, but eventually pulled off the win in last minute fashion to scathe off elimination.
I sat nearly on the floor for crazy affordable prices. I got nachos, a soda, and a beer FOR TEN DOLLARS. So much fun. GO TO A WNBA GAME.
Good seats and view. Liked the $1 sodas! Unfortunately, the Sun lost this game.

Great game and great seats. The game was fast paced and exciting from beginning to end. The only thing that could have been better is if the Sun won. enjoyed it immensely.

It was great seeing the game live. We are used to TV broadcasts, which are good. Seeing the game live was a treat. It was fun to see the players in person and see how well pro women players perform. Seeing the referees and coaches in action was interesting. We had dinner before the game at one of the restaurants, and that made the total event very special.
My children, grandson Harlem & Allie were visiting. We were here for the fundraiser for Alzheimer’s in memory of Alfredo Allen. We shared this time together, connected together in the fight to cure Alzheimer’s! We had a great time! My grandson got to meet Blaze, he was so happy!
Loved everything about it. Different timeout entertainment as well as half time!
