If someone told me these kids had spent an entire semester working up to this performance, I would have been impressed by what they did. The fact that they did all this in 5 days -- in groups that had never played together before (in many cases that had never performed anywhere with anyone before) leaves me flabbergasted. The bands all excelled, not just in musical ability, but in serious song-writing chops, commanding stage presence, high energy levels, and performances that capture the audience. I am just blown away by what Compass manages to do with all these kids in just a week. This is an incredible experience for them all.
