    Amazing Ballpark

    by belt22 on 7/8/09Huntington Park - Columbus

Went to see the Clippers on Tuesday night. It was a beautiful night and the park and the atmosphere was terrific. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. I had a Italian Sub and it was very tasty and reasonably priced, although $6.50 for a large beer is kinda outrageous. The ballpark is beautiful and the parking in lot G is very easy for getting to the park and leaving. I am already planning on taking my 2 grandson's 4 and 5 real soon. Thank you Columbus for designing a great and convenient ball park!!

    A great family adventure!

by AColumbusMom on 7/8/09Huntington Park - Columbus

This is the third Clippers game we have been to and we continute to have a wonderful time each and every visit. We have two kids (7&5) and they have a great time as well. There are plenty of things to do with the kids when they start to get antsy and the park is incredibly accessable and user friendly. My only complaint would be the high food prices. The tickets are nice and afforadable, but once you add a treat for everyone and maybe a beer or two, it becomes a little expensive- too expensive to go as much as I'd like and part of the eperience is getting the food at the game! Will be back!

    Columbus Clippers

    by CMB123 on 7/8/09Huntington Park - Columbus

While it's not a major league event, it is fun for all ages. It's also reasonably priced to take the family out as well with the price of tickets. The food and beverages are a little pricey but nothing unexpected for an event of this type. The seats in my section (22) had a good view of the whole field. I'd recommend the event for a group of friends or family. The park is not that large and gives it a relaxed small town feel, despite being just blocks from downtown. There were kids from 5 years old to senior citizens there. Sit back, relax and enjoy the game with family or friends.

    clippers vs indians

    by ocean14 on 7/8/09Huntington Park - Columbus

This was our first time in the new ball park and it was nice, but it really had some down falls. The seating seems really tight. we sat in section 23 and everytime someone leaned forward (which seemed like all night) it blocked complete view of everthing but the outfield. I had taken my daughter for her birthday and i was a bit frustrated that she had such a hard time seeing. i was also concerned because you couldn't see the foul balls when folks did this, a couple were a little to close for comfort Food was reasonable, but i have to say, the park is definitely more modern, but games were easier to enjoy in cooper. the next game we won't sit in the park, i would sit up in the bar behind, looks like they had a clear view of the whole game.

Loved seeing so many happy families!

by spud on 7/6/09Huntington Park - Columbus

This was our first time attending a Clipper's game. We enjoyed the aesthetics and layout of the stadium. It reminded me of the new Cinti. Red's stadium. It was great sitting right behind the bull pen. We had such a great vantage point to watch the details of every warm -up pitch. The food was reasonably priced for stadium food, and parking was a steal at $3, and less than 1/2 a block to walk to our entrance gate. Would definitely recomend to friends and family. We were surrounded by both nuclear family groups as well as large extended family groups.

the Clippers were on the ball!

by SherryF on 7/4/09Huntington Park - Columbus

The Clippers game was great Thursday night! I loved cheering for them after a grand slam and the home runs!! I also liked all the extra fun things that happened during the game for the fans. The only thing that could have made the night better was if mustard had won the hotdog race. . . .

    Great Game Experience

    by Larry21651 on 7/3/09Huntington Park - Columbus

The Clippers played a great game and what a total event experience! The moment we walked into the beautiful stadium we were given Clipper hats, the choice of food vendors, and the overall excitement was amazing. If there is a better minor league ballpark I would like to know where. I would highly recommend everyone living in or near Columbus who enjoys baseball to attend a Clipper's game.

    Amazing Ballpark

by Tribefan on 7/3/09Huntington Park - Columbus

The game itself was disappointment, with the Clippers getting trounced by the Mudhens, but what a great ballpark. But for the size you'd never believe you were in a minor league park.

    customer09

    by formerfan09 on 7/3/09Huntington Park - Columbus

It cost me $97 not counting parking and food.At the old Cooper stadium the same seats would have probably cost me less than $30. I could go last year with a friend and pay less than $15 for seats, parking and food.I'm disappointed that there are not more general admission seats available closer to the field. The new stadium is very nice , but I probably won't attend more games because of the cost .

    HUNTINGTON PARK ROCKS!

by BADBULLDOG on 7/3/09Huntington Park - Columbus

I took my son and my girlfirend to their first Columbus Clippers game, and it was all of our first time at the new Huntington Park. The ballpark is truly amazing and an awesome place to watch a ball game! The atmosphere of everything going on around you is spectacular! The people, the smell of food, and of course the game going on is an exciting event to be at! I recommend that everyone at least check out the new ballpark at least once! Have fun!

great stadium & amenities, but please DJ lay off!!

by BKJam on 7/2/09Huntington Park - Columbus

The stadium is excellent. The staff is knowledgeable & friendly. The food & amenities are great. But PLEASE tell the DJ to give it a rest!!! We heard the same 6 or so song fragments over and over. And over. And over. And over. Something was played at possible moment. Every break in the game had to be filled it seemed. Please - we came to see baseball. Back away from the sound button. We didn't come to hear you. A song, special effect or announcement on occasion is fine. But please trust that you have a good product & we like it. That's why we came. We don't need to be sledgehammered. You are distracting us from the real show.

Great Venue, Wish Team Was More Competitive

by Bucksnut on 7/2/09Huntington Park - Columbus

The new ballpark is a jewel among minor league parks I've read. The only other parks I've visited are the old Clipper's park Cooper Stadium and the Toledo Mud Hens' roost Fifth Third Field. I would agree that Huntington Park is light and day better than the Coop, and is definitely on par or maybe better than Fifth Third. You name it, and you've got it at the Hunt: all kinds of food concessions from City Barbeque, Roosters, Bob Evans, Donatos, and of course regular park fare like hot dogs, burgers, fries, etc. Parking is convenient and just $3 on most nights, so long as there is not an event going on nearby at Nationwide Arena or Pavilion. I just wish the team could live up to its venue. Only time will tell.

    Feels like Wrigley

by Tink on 7/1/09Huntington Park - Columbus

First, I must admit, I have not gone to many baseball games. My husband is a big Cubs fan, so we have watched them play in Chicago. I bought him tickets to the Clippers game for a Father's Day gift. He was very excited about seeing the new field; I was hoping I would have fun as well. I loved it! I loved the whole feel of it. You walk in through the gates at ground level, not through tall, imposing walls of concrete. You walk up a few steps and the vista expands into the open field, surrounded by an open walkway filled with vendors. We were in the first row, section 23 - decent seats - easy to find and a quick exit when the game ended. While the game was a little slow until the last inning, there is plenty to catch your attention: the Sugardale Hot Dog Race, the Flying Roosters, free t-shirt giveaways and watching yourself and others on the jumbotron. The entire game is played against the backdrop of the cityscape (which is what reminds me of Wrigley). At $10 a ticket, it's one of the more reasonable venues for entertainment in our city. A relaxing and fun night out for our family. We'll definitely do it again.

Columbus Clippers Games are a blast

    by clipperfan10 on 7/1/09Huntington Park - Columbus

Our youth group went to the Columbus Clippers vs. Durham Bulls game and had a blast. The new park is awesome and we will do it again. You need to go check out the new park and the Clippers yourself. You won't be disappointed.
