Collective Soul rose to prominence in the mid-’90s with 1993’s Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid. The album featured the hit single “Shine” and took Collective Soul from college radio to heavy rotation on MTV. By the end of 1995, the band (led by singer-songwriter Ed Roland) had toured with Aerosmith and Van Halen and performed “Shine” in front of thousands of fans at Woodstock ‘94. Their triple-platinum follow-up, Collective Soul (1995), included "December," "The World I Know" and "Where the River Flows," all No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Collective Soul would continue achieving career milestones well into the 2000s and 2010s, including a duet with Elton John (“Perfect Day”) and nine additional studio albums.

Collective Soul never disappoints; they were fantastic. The Mahaffey is also a really nice venue with excellent seating, sound, and service.
Collective Soul was awesome as usual! The box seats at Mahaffey are the best!
Third time seeing CS and first time as headliner. First two times they were "warm-up"for someone else. While they played a lot of their "hits", the whole show lasted barely 90 minutes; maybe a little less; definitely less minus the "storytelling". Traveled 2 hours each way, so would have liked for them to play at least as long as I traveled ONE way. Maybe they are better as a warm-up and should leave being a headliner to bands that can perform longer on stage. Won't go that far to see them again.
I don't know where they've been since the 80's and 90's but these guys rocked the house in St.Pete. Great show.
The band rocked. We enjoyed the older songs better than the newer songs.
Show was fantastic! Played all the songs I came to hear. My only issue was with the clarity of the singing. I could not understand the words when he was singing or when he was entertaining the audience with stories.
Seeing Collective Soul never gets old. They put on a great show. Great catalog of music. Audience stood almost the whole show and knows all the words.
Sound mixing not good. Could not hear singer very well. Instrument sound drowned out singer.
Band was awesome, as usual, but terrible acoustics at the venue, no opening band, and no on-site food worth mentioning. Good close proximity parking was a plus
