I am so happy to this level of artistry alive and well in Memphis. The dancers from both Collage and Dance Theater of Harlem were amazing on stage. The diversity of the audience reminds me how important it is to support the arts!! Thank you!

A wonderful experience! The professionals and students displayed their amazing talents. The costumes and music was on point for each performance.
From the time that we entered the Cannon Center to experience Rise 2022, we were amazed at the orderly transition from check in to seating. We appreciated the fact that guests had to show a negative Covid test or proof of vaccination. The performances of the participants was like being at a Broadway production in NY. The music, epilogue, costumes and choreography was second to none. Can’t wait for the next presentation from Collage! Excellent’

The performances were absolutely amazing. They can hold their own against Dance Theater of Harlem and Alvin Ailey Dance Theater!! I loved it!!!! They rocked it!!
This was my first experience of a ballet of this type. The diversity of dancers and musical selections were beyond my imagination (non-traditional). I enjoyed the excitement and smiles of all the dancers. I have always loved ballet but Collage has definitely raised the bar for me.
THIS WAS AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE FOR ME . I AM A LOVER OF THE ARTS . THE VERSALITY IN BALLET DANCE WAS EXCEPTIONAL PASSION WAS FELT FROM THE BEGINNING TO END. I ALSO LEARNED ALOT OF HISTORY NOT ONLY FROM A DANCE PERSPECTIVE BUT BEING AN AFRO AMERICAN A BLACK WOMAN. YOU KNOW HOW YOU ALWAYS HEARD THINGS AND THEY SOMETIMES DONT RESONATE WITH YOU ,WELL THIS PRODUCTION BROUGHT CLARITY FOR ME. i AM SO PROUD OF THIS COMPANY EVERYONE THAT WAS INVOLVED HATS OF TO KEVIN I WOULD LOVE TO SENF HIM A PERSONAL THANK YOU.SEEING THIS PRODUCTION MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS SPECIAL.

This is my second time attending Rise, and it was incredible! The artistry - from dance to music, lighting, costume design, videography, and overall storytelling - is absolutely wonderful. It's impossible to be unmoved and unchanged by a Collage performance. I highly recommend it!

It was really exciting and refreshing after a 2 year hiatus, to see Collage Dance Collective present a "world class" performance! I brought my mom as well, and she had fun too! Congratulations to Kevin Thomas, Marcellus D. Harper, staff and super talented dancers! Keep pushing...looking forward to the next production!
