    Lovely morning!

by opera novice on 1/20/24ASU Kerr - Scottsdale

The (decaf) coffee was fine, and it was nice to have a freshly baked coffee-cake. My only quibble is “no chocolate?” (Hence 4 stars.) The stage director of The Barber of Seville is an excellent instructor and made the lecture very enjoyable. The 2 singers had wonderful voices and engaging personalities. I hope to attend another opera program at Kerr.

The hour flew by. Even though I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about Italian bel canto and Barber of Seville, I learned considerably more. Very informative and entertaining. Thanks!

Very entertaining and informative lecture from George Kallor! Also enjoyed the performance by a few of the opera singers. And can't forget the Renegade coffee!

Professor Miriam was amazing. I can’t wait to see the opera, thanks to the information she shared and the aria we got to hear.
