    Cody Canada rocks!

by ralphnac on 8/9/11Grizzly Rose - Denver

Cody Canada ranks with the best guitarists to ever hoist an axe. This new band of his contains some crack musicians. The new guitarist is outstanding and the addition of keyboards brings a new dimension that Ragweed did not have. I still miss the CCR material, but this band will take off as soon as they record some of the new materiall they played. Would have liked to hear more Ragweed material other than the 2 they covered.

The Hipnecks and Departed did not disappoint !

by FestusHagen on 7/17/11The Blue Note - Columbia

We had an amazing time at the venue, seeing my friends band open for Cody and the boys. I wish they would have played some Ragweed stuff, but what they did play RAWKED !!!!!

The Departed is Here to Stay

by Breakdown on 6/23/11Beaumont Club - Kansas City

The Departed played an unforgettable show to an enthusatic crowd. Days before their first CD is released, the crowd was acceptive and very supportive without knowing a lot of the material that was played. This is a reflection & tribute to the "true music" Cody Canada & The Departed play, not what radio pre-programs and wants to sell you. Earlier in the day they had a very scary moment when the trailer hitch broke from the tour bus as they traveled from Nebraska. With a guiding light from above, no one was injured and although it created some logisitical challenges, the crew and band delivered on time for Kansas City. Cody Canada & The Departed...(and crew).......Long May You Run !!

    Awesome night out

by Anonymous on 6/22/11Beaumont Club - Kansas City

The concert was great! For being a new band that doesn't have an album yet these guys rocked the house. Some of the best dual steel guitar playing I have ever heard. This is probably one of the few CDs I will buy legally and not download ilegally.

    The Departed was Awesome

by Fattoes on 6/22/11Beaumont Club - Kansas City

The Departed put on an awesome show Sunday night in Kansas City. It was the second time I had seen the band, the first was back in January. If you are looking for a rock'n live band, then The Departed is a most.

The Departed is a Red Dirt Supergroup !

by TheRiddler on 4/7/11Bluebird Nightclub - Bloomington

The crowd turn-out was pityful ! Told the band not to be offended because of the lack of people ! Then Seth James said "Well we just getting started man !!!!!!!!!!" I told them we'd seen Cross Canadian there before & it was packed. But after 2 Hours of Pure Rock n Roll everybody was into for sure !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Departed is Here to Stay

by Breakdown on 3/7/11Grizzly Rose - Denver

From the beginning to the end, this was a very special musical show. Five guys who play music for all the right reasons and play at a very high level, a talented group of accomplished musicians. Although the band has not released their first CD, and there is nothing played on the radio, a large supportive crowd turned out. Based on Cody Canada & Jeromy Plato's recent past in Cross Canadian Ragweed, Seth James solo work and with the seasoned veterans Steve Littleton and David Bowen...........the Colorado crowd was anticipating a night of rock -n- roll and The Departed delivered. Don't miss a chance to see the next big thing to come from the Red Dirt music scene.
