About

The CMA Awards is Country Music's Biggest Night™, hosted in the heart of Music City! The first "CMA Awards Banquet and Show" was held in 1967. The following year, the ceremony was broadcast for the first time - making it the longest running, annual music awards program on network television. The CMA Awards have aired on ABC since 2006.

Each year, The CMA Awards nominees and winners are determined by the industry professional members of the Country Music Association, which when established in 1958, became the first trade organization formed to promote an individual genre of music. All balloting is tabulated by the professional services organization, Deloitte.

I fly into Nashville every year for the CMA Awards Show and it is always one of the best entertainment values of the year. Yes, the tickets are expensive but it is a great couple of days of country music. Just and AMAZING night.

    Fantastic!

by karsijkd on 12/19/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

We had a fantastic time! Yes, seats were expensive, but wow, where can you see so many great artists under one roof!?!?! We had great seats, the sound was super, and people were friendly. Regarding the comments about what to wear..... if your seats are up high, dress down. If your seats are are in the lower 1/2, dress up. If you are on the bottom teir or the floor, dress like you are going to a formal. We went last year, this year and we will go back next year. I can't wait!

    sugarland was really cute!

by mcgirl on 12/4/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

It was hard to hear and understand Carrie and Brad at times because they were tucked in a corner and mics weren't turned up. WE got a better view and could hear it better when watching the taped version at home.

    Long list of talent

by DawgFanNC on 11/19/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

This event was a lot of fun. The number of performers was astounding and the actual performances were great. The odd part is that the regular (non-celebrity) attendees dress like they are going to the prom or a gala ball depending on the age of the attendee. Still a mix of other attire too. Seats were AWFUL. There was only one big screen viewable from these seats and the lighting blocked at least 1/4 of the screen. I didn't get to see a head on anyone. Without adequate screens, binoculars were a must. I forgot mine... Bottom line - entertaining show with horrible but expensive seats.

    Excellant Event but lousy seats

by KathynColeen on 11/16/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

My daughter and I attended the 44th CMA Awards. The show was excellent however our seats were awful. They were a bit pricey for where they were located. If I recommended this to a friend, I would definitely advise against the balcony area center stage. To the right or left would have been better.

    Great Experience

    by roaddawg428 on 11/16/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Being at the CMAs and seeing how the award shows are produced and executed was a great experience! However, there was a camera next to us that blocked the view of one of the stages and I think that the tickets were actually VERY over priced! The seats would have been great had the camera not obstructed partial viewing, but still priced a little high.

This was our first and definitely NOT our last! We have already made hotel reservations for next year. The most enjoyable experience that we can remember. All of the stars were so friendly.

My mother and I went and we both said it was the absolute best event we've ever seen. The music was so much better live than on TV. It was so much better than a concert. Fantastic! I want to go again next year!

    dream come true

by sunshinenville on 11/14/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

The CMA awards were great and a dream come true. I am new to Nashville and could not wait for the moment to come. The artists/ talent and songs always inspire me. I write poetry- so it is amazing to see what putting beautiful words together can become.

great productions but my seat was SOOOO far from the stage and the large screens need to be larger. I was using opera glasses to look at the screens!!!

Was a little disappointed with the black carpet when the fans came out. Unless you were there extremely early you were unable to see any of them. I actually arrrived at 3:45 and was at least 15 rows deep.

    CMA awards

by mldj on 11/12/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

The CMA awards were great! My husband and I enjoyed the show. However, we paid $250 each for our seats and the seats were terrible!! They were in section 114 and everyone in front of us and on our entire row were complaining about the view with the price of the ticket. I recommend you do not sell seats in that section at high prices. You did say limited view of stage but it should have said only half view of stage and no view of middle when stars enter to present awards. We were very disappointed in seats for price of ticket!!

    CMAs were fantastic

by PJWilli on 11/12/10Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

This is an amazing event & I enjoyed it very much. The only problem I had was my seat. For the price I paid, I do not think it's too much to ask to be able to see the entire show. Didn't realize until the ticket was printed that I had "limited view." This meant I could see only the performers that were right in front of me. The others I could only see from the neck up if I was lucky. Couldn't even see the presenters & the closest video screen was behind me well above my head, so in order to see it I had to turn completely around in my seat. From the looks of the seating chart, it appeared I had one of the best seats in the house. Definitely know better next time!
