    Civil Twilight Underappreciated in Cincinnati!

by Timotao on 8/12/1220th Century Theater - Cincinnati

I walked in the 20th Century Theater and could NOT BELIEVE it was virtually empty. Was I one of only a handful of people in Cincinnati who couldn't wait to see CT in such an intimate setting? (BTW - first time at 20th Century Theater... would definitely go again). The worker told me only 55 people showed up. Before the show, I would put CT up against almost any other band... and after the show my opinion did not change. Despite the ridiculously low turnout, the band played on like professionals and gave us few in the audience the full experience. This band hits a range of emotions. They rock out at times, the're soft and tearful at times, they build, they blast. Their songs are creative and unique and each one has a different feel. All band members are super musicians, but the lead singer is mesmorizing. He's not afraid to go falsetto quite often, and stay up there. I would highly recommend this band for people in other cities where they are going next. And Cincinnati.. if they ever come back (which, I hope we didn't get black-listed), you should come check them out too, you wont be dissapointed. CT has their own sound... but if I had to compare them to other bands, I would say an equal mix between Coldplay/Radiohead/Ryan Adams.

    Civil Twilight

by Ash2112 on 6/15/12Beaumont Club - Kansas City

A really good show..Civil Twilight is an intimate band with a huge sound..their melodies are supernatural, and stay with you long after you listen to them..music seems to pour effortlessly from these guys..they are all true musicians.. I have to say I do feel their first tour was more moving for me, but this one was amazing in its own right. The new songs are wonderful, but I do feel they could have played four or five more tunes from the first record to really round out the live show..actually they need to play some of the first record songs...they are just too good not to play...

opening act One EskimO had visa issues and didn't make the show, Andrew Ripp stepped up and did an amazing last minute set. Both the Daylights and Civil Twilight were fantastic as usual

Great Performance! Nice venue! Fun Opening Bands!

by NHConcertGoer on 3/29/11Brighton Music Hall - Boston

This was a great night; the venue is very quaint and has really nice acoustics. The band sounded great, they are full of energy and you could see their true love of music. I wish I would have written down the set list… but they don’t have a lot of songs, just one album and I’m sure they played them all. “Letters From the Sky” was simply amazing, what a great tune. They also killed on “Next to Me” I tried to look around at the crowd to see if people were as excited to be there as I was and the place was alive with energy! I even had a nice conversation with a couple of the bartenders, who were very cool and friendly, who said before the show that they had never heard of the band before, they both said they were fantastic and would look to download the songs. I thought the two opening bands were really good; they did a great job of complementing the music that Civil Twilight was there to share with us. A lot of times when you go to a show you have to wonder why the headline band would pair themselves up with their opening acts, but in this case both The Rassle and A Silent Film were really great choices. I was familiar with A Silent Film, and a fan, they have been around for a while and what a great bunch of guys. They were hanging out at the merch tables chatting, shaking hands and signing disks and posters for fans. So were members from The Rassle, and it was really cool, very down to earth guys who are extremely appreciative of their fans. I was already a fan of A Silent Film, now I’m a bigger one with a signed copy of “The City that Sleeps”, and I’m also a new fan of The Rassle. Again, this was a great night and a very cool venue, I plan to head back there and I hope to see all three of these bands become successful. I will support them as long as they continue to put out great music!

This is the first time i have ever left a review for an artist. Saw these guys in Saratoga NY. They are incredible. These guys love performing and it shows. Give a little love to a crowd and they fall in love. Steven's vocals are untouchable. Civil twilight Rocks. They'd better prepare for Fame.

    excellent

by rickfowler on 3/24/11Water Street Music Hall - Rochester

first concert @ waterstreet sence it was the country warehouse. I will be going back. What a nice venue. Opening act A Silent Film was great so the headliner had a hard act to follow but they were awesome. Two great groups. I feel bad paying only $10. Two top acts.

Civil Twilight is unforgettable! Amazing show!

by Alisacm3 on 3/24/11Water Street Music Hall - Rochester

WOW! I saw these guys in Alabama playing a small show and it was the best one I'd ever seen so I couldn't wait to see them again in my home town of Rochester, NY. They are amazing in studio and in concert. Extremely talented!! Never a dull moment and I couldn't help but be on my feet singing along! What a rush! I'm going to see them again in a month in Orlando and I can't wait! TOTALLY worth any cost to go see! You won't regret it!

Coldplay is massive, and these guys aren't? There is no justice in this world. Fantastic show, all around. The opening band, "A Silent Film", were fantastic. Water Street is a nice venue, too. Very good sound.
