Emo punk outfit Citizen has quickly become one of the genre's most buzzworthy new acts with their raw, honest songs and pulse-quickening live shows. The group's performances on the 2013 Vans Warped Tour proved they're worthy of the hype, treating fans to an emotional journey that ranged from the anthemic bombast of "The Summer" to the hushed introspection of "Sleep". A dynamic young bunch with intensity and spirit to the gills, Citizen always delivers an unforgettable concert experience on their dynamic tours.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
The members of Michigan emo punk band Citizen began playing music together in 2009 while still in high school. They honed their sound with local gigs and late night jam sessions, and in 2012 they signed to Run For Cover Records for the release of their debut EP Young Streets. Later that year they dropped a split 7" with labelmates Turnover, supporting the release with a series of power-packed live shows. Citizen released their debut full-length Youth in 2013, hitting the road soon after as a featured act on the Vans Warped Tour. Both the album and their performances on tour earned rave reviews, building excitement among fans for new material and upcoming tour dates.
The bartenders are always so nice and pleasant. I have been to this venue multiple times and the staff are always friendly. The layout of the venue may not work out if you’re late & the venue is at full capacity but the acoustics are great!
I went to see them at the glasshouse back in 2016, and they did not disappoint when I went to see them at the wiltern in 2023! Amazing band and they sound exactly the same!

Great show. Venue was clean, drinks, merch, and entry were seem less. Sound was amazing. Time between band setups was extremely quick.
Truly a nostalgic experience, I’ve listened to these guys for over a decade and have never seen them live.
