First of all, this is not Cirque du Soleil. It's a different circus company. By the time Cirque du Soleil responded to my inquiry, I had already purchased the non-refundable tickets. That said, we went to the show. It was bad. Not low budget, but low talent. The acts are definitely entertaining for little kids. The dialogue (and there's lots of that) is geared toward adults. Lots of sarcasm and stuff to keep adults mildly engaged. It's like watching a high school play. The singing was not good and half of it was lip synced to just as bad recordings. Some of the acts were just really really bad. But there were 2 that made the whole show. That was the Asian lady playing the violin and the Asian contortionist young lady. She was very graceful. The guys who walked the hamster cages were OK, but your heart gets a thrill for every time they trip on the jump rope and nearly fall to their death. (not staged, just not good). The next best part was sitting in a row with a group of senior citizens who gave commentary the whole time ("you can do that Carol!""I don't think the body's meant to do that!") It was hysterical and made the evening! Think Mystery Science Theater 3000. So we paid sev. en. tee fyve smackaroos for each of us. The show was nice and long. So I would would say, it's worth half that if you have people who have never seen Cirque du Soleil and have no idea what they are missing.
