    Engaging and talented cast!

by dnbsurf on 2/10/13Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

Took my best friend to this for her birthday! It was funny, engaging, energetic and memorable. Great performance and I enjoyed all the acrobatic and stunts they did. They made you laugh and you felt part of the performance. Very different and new to other circus performances.

A Very Entertaining and Fun Show

by Vandyman20 on 2/10/13Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

Me and my girlfriend went to a Friday night show and had a great time. The show was a perfect length and had some really good acts, my favorite of which was the woman who can juggle tables with her feet.

    AWED by CIRCUS OZ

by ponderanddream on 2/10/13Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

~ At first, I thought, hmm they’re trying to copy Cirque Du Soleil by way of performing antics up and down theater aisles, such as pounding on the organ with madman delight, while others meandered through the audience to sell souvenirs. Dressed in grubby styled couture and adorned with matted hair-dos or wigs, I muttered, “They’re uglier than the three stooges and they’re pudgy buddies look too unfit to execute the simplest of juggling acts; and acrobats? Impossible! ~ Well let me tell you, as the performers overcame their jitters--probably afraid the rain would keep ticket holders at home-- and we, the audience, were eased into giggles, laughter, oohs and aaahhs as the show stormed on … I’m glad to say we were delighted with the goofy characters, the wild LIVE music, the dancing, songs with absurd lyrics, pole climbing, aerial acrobatics, gymnastics, bizarre feats of balance, juggling and stage changes filled with crazy contraptions … surely I have left out a hill of details in this combo-pack of non-stop fun making me feel 'forever young' (don't laugh). ~ Anyway, I would recommend this show to anyone because, most definitely, we witnessed feats of amazing timing and trustful teamwork enhanced by several of the artists switching from music, to antics, to acrobats and stagehand duties; multi-talented, yes they were, presenting us with two eyefuls of entertainment. (Royce Hall: FEB 8th, 2013).

Like Cirque du Soleil 25 years ago.

by radman88 on 2/9/13Royce Hall - UCLA - Los Angeles

All the skill, personality, spirit, and unpredictability that the Cirque had when it first came to Los Angeles in 1987, with a little Aussie flair added for good measure.

Really enjoyed the performance. I absolutely loved its emphasis on diversity and how the performers didn't take themselves too seriously. Loved that the gender roles were shown to be fluid and that not all the female performances were shown to be slender and beautiful. Appropriate for kids but fun for adults as well!
