    Circle City Classic 2023 review

by Diane Bellamy on 9/26/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

    1. No, programs. I was told a very limited amount were made & VIP’s & dignitaries received them prior to the game. I walked to every entrance & was told none available. We were probably some of the first to arrive. 2. The site where we park for the Colt’s games were all restricted. When we came out after the game was completed all the restricted signs had been removed. 3. Most of the machines to convert money into a credit card were not working (or had been turned off). The only one working the line was extensive. Everything else was in order. I paid a small fortune for front row seats @ the 50yr. line & certainly didn’t feel like a VIP.

    Great time

We had a great time at the circle city classic. Our seats were great. The game was great and the half time show was phenomenal.

    Awesome

by Jay on 9/26/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

The experience was remarkably straightforward and intuitive. The only suggestion I have pertains to individuals who might not be very tech-savvy. It would be even more convenient if the tickets sent to their phones could be viewed without requiring them to download the app. I do realize the importance of encouraging app downloads, but this enhancement would cater to a wider audience.

    Great game but…

by Soccerstar83 on 9/26/23Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

The game was great (my team won) but the stadium was FREEZING. Cold air blowing from everywhere which made things really uncomfortable. The game was also WAY too long! Football games are usually about 3 hours and it hit the 3 hour mark with over 12 minutes left in the game. Too many media time outs for a game that to my knowledge wasn’t televised.

    Band

by Kat on 10/6/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

The bands did an amazing job. I didn't enjoy the time waiting for the step show to begin. I left after 6pm and the step show had barely begun. I saw three performances.

    First Classic

by J on 10/5/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

I really enjoyed the show. I heard this was the first year without a football game, but it was still good. I wish I had known about the college fair that happened much earlier than the actual event, but it wasn’t advertised well. My only critique for improvement would be not so much space in between the battle of the bands and especially the step show. The battle in the stands was really long too. I brought several kids for the experience and the in between moments were lengthy.

    Could have been better

by First time attendee on 10/1/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

First our entry date was closed and we had to walk have around the venue to get inside. Then I was disappointed to find out the seats I purchased was closed so I had to find the ticket office to find another set of 4 seats. Which by the way were not, again, not better than the ones I had originally purchased. Not sure if I would purchase tickets again.

Not what was written and spoken

by Senta Folds on 9/29/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

Overall the show was lovely! Just disappointed in false advertisement. The advertisements stated 20 bands and set for a great show. The greek show should have been interchanged with band. For example one band then steppers..something to keep our attention. Versus all the bands play and leave. Hopefully next will be exciting to see.

    Lacking the excitement.

by Rose on 9/28/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

Glad that after two years the parade and events were back but if it can't measure up to past events don't hold it. The Classic is known for football and bands. The Greek Step event was lacking in many ways. Lack of commitment from all Divine Nine is disappointing. The stage setup was poorly arranged. Unless your seat was on the 50 yard line, one had to look at the jumbotron to see anything. Too much down time with the rapper and didn't understand why.

    Disappointing

by Angel on 9/27/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

The sound system was distorted There were huge gaps in the show without the football game. The battle against bands would have been more entertaining on the football field instead of the stands. Left mid show

    Last call

by Tisa on 9/27/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

This is my favorite Indianapolis event but I think it is time to throw in the towel. Without the schools to back it the battle wasn’t all that great. The step-show, disappointing to say the least.

    Circle City Classic

by Jason Jordan on 9/27/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

I am a graduate of Alabama A&M University and I have been coming to the Classic since 1986, now I am a mentor with Indiana Black Expo Fort Wayne Chapter, and The Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne, and I took a group of high school kids to experience what I experienced. They absolutely loved it, and now want to go an HBCU. The College fair with music was awesome also I just wish there were more schools there at the fair.

    Not good

by Meme on 9/27/22Lucas Oil Stadium - Indianapolis

Although we know life brings about changes daily but Classic has changed drastically. We need to go back to the drawing board and bring it back the same way it started with all the festivities.
