The show was soulful, heartwarming and you can feel the love for the art. Everyone who stepped on that stage did an amazing job and hopefully we can have more of these events.
I loved how BlackThought was there. He’s the GOAT MC!!!! Charlie McBride on the bass is indescribable. Speech coming out and singing “Tennesse” and “Everyday People” was a great surprise. Nikki Giovanni shared her story of how Morgan Freeman owes her a car was great!!
YES! All star guests, living legends, the talent & gifted and a feeling of cultural empowerment all in one show! A beautiful display of poetic and musical art combination. Plus a beautifully dressed mature and young crowd came out to support, dance and cheer. A great way to spend an evening.
