Christmas with the Celts Tickets

Saw this show recently nd went in with high expectations for great Celtic music at Christmas. What I got was a poorly produced show that was not professionally presented. First, the sound. This show was very heavy on sound track, bass guitar, and drum kit. This prevented a great deal of the traditional instruments, pipes, violin, hand drum, flutes, etc. from being heard clearly or not at all. The pipes were heard, but it seemed that they were just carried by their natural volume and not mixed well with the rest of the presentation. The lighting. Overdone or not done at all. Too many times the performers were not lit at all, or poorly lit. It seemed like this was the first time the lighting technician had seen or even heard of this show, and was lost. The dance schools who participated were great, and kudos for hanging in there with all the dark stages they had to deal with. The performers were really good. Just don't expect an all traditional Celtic show. Lots of pop and rock mixed in. The pipers and violinist were outstanding. The lead may have been on his traditional drum, but that could barely be heard. The show finished strong, and I am glad to have seen it, but they could have done so much better with some stronger tech support.

Entertainers where quite talented. Music was splendid. However, there was an extremely annoying bright blue light that was shining directly into the audience!!!! it really diminished the performance!

It was a great show! Loved the performers. The Youth Arts Ambassadors were terrific! The Dance groups were absolutely fun to watch. We really enjoyed our evening with Christmas with the Celts!

I throughly enjoyed the Celts in concert and given the chance I would watch it again

I hate to be negative, but waste of my money. The sound system was absolutely awful and the bright lights kept flashing in our eyes. Expected something better at this venue. The theater and stage were so barren, I expected some holiday decorations. Pretty amateur.

The Celts concert was wonderful! Very talented group! It was a family get together and we all had a fantastic time! I would go again for sure! Great entertainment for all ages. Great value.

The show in general was good. It was hard to see the dancer's legs because all the seats where on the same level. The guy singer's voice gave out towards the end of the show. Not enough of the one girl singing. Only one girl sang. Was OK for the price. Seeing it once was enough.

This was our first visit to the Flagstar Strand and also seeing Christmas with the Celts. What a wonderful experience. The Strand is a great theatre. Our seats were close, but I don't think there is a bad seat in the auditorium. The Celts were a special treat!! The singers, the drummer, the violinist, the fellow who played the bagpipes and the dancers were spectacular. They also played Christmas songs, which was a special treat! I recommend The Celts and the Flagstar Stand highly!!

Stage was way to low to see the dancers feet, that is what Irish Dancing is all about. Tickets had seat numbers that we thought were reserved seats, actual, first come first served, numbers meant nothing. The show was good, but could not see any of the dancing, real disappointment.

Great show, great music -- one of the sons from the Willis clan performed and the reigning Irish dance champion performed -- this was not the original cast, but great show and very talented performers -- would see it again next year if it returns to the Detroit area

Loud that we had to leave after 1/2 hour! Very, very disappointed

The concert was amazing. I would recommend everyone to see them.

The music and dancing were great. It was the stage that desperately needed help! It was solid black! Absolutely no eye candy to speak of! That part was completely boring.
