Blending old school soul and modern hip-hop influences, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele is one of the strongest female voices in contemporary R&B. With the release of Better in 2013, Michele landed her fourth consecutive Top 10 album on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, earning praise for her constantly-evolving sound and silky, confident vocal delivery. The diversity of material on the album is nowhere more apparent than on its singles, which juxtapose the smooth R&B of “A Couple of Forevers” with the minimal hip-hop glitch of 2-Chainz featured “Charades.” After leading gospel choirs in high school, Michele went on to earn a vocal performance degree before releasing her debut album I am in 2007. Supported by four singles, I Am peaked at No. 5 on the R&B chart and earned Michele a Best Urban/Alternative Performance Grammy for hit single “Be OK.” Her 2009 sophomore album Epiphany would prove even more successful, peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and paving the way for a series of appearances on tracks by artists including The Game, Jay-Z, and Nas. On tour with Jaheim in 2013, Michele has treated ticket buyers to her characteristically understated swagger, earning rave reviews for her soulful live concerts.
The Ludlow Garage is an excellent venue for up close and personal concerts with people you love. The service is great, people are welcoming, seating has been upgraded. My only negative is that the show wasn't long enough. Great date night.
Chrisette Michele was great. She interacted with the crowd and put on a fantastic performance. Can't wait to see her again.

We had seats in section 110, row G. Our seats were close. The concert started on time and both acts were entertaining. Chrisette Michelle is one of my wife’s favorite singers. We enjoyed ourselves!!!

Love the venue, it felt very intimate. Chrisette Michele can SANG, no not sing she can SANG!! She sounded amazing and she did not disappoint. She closed out the show with one of my favorite songs!! We will definitely come back to see her or Anthony David when the return to the D!!

Chrisette's voice is like the voice of an angel. She put on a brilliant concert. Definitely would love to see her again when she comes back to Detroit. She even came down after the concert and signed autographs and took pics...no vip ticket required!

The show on Sunday, March 16 was the ABSOLUTE best concert that I have EVER attended! This girl can SANG! I hope she plans to come to Detroit or near Detroit again soon! My husband also enjoyed the concert and NIGHT CAP! ❤️
