Blending old school soul and modern hip-hop influences, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele is one of the strongest female voices in contemporary R&B. With the release of Better in 2013, Michele landed her fourth consecutive Top 10 album on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, earning praise for her constantly-evolving sound and silky, confident vocal delivery. The diversity of material on the album is nowhere more apparent than on its singles, which juxtapose the smooth R&B of “A Couple of Forevers” with the minimal hip-hop glitch of 2-Chainz featured “Charades.” After leading gospel choirs in high school, Michele went on to earn a vocal performance degree before releasing her debut album I am in 2007. Supported by four singles, I Am peaked at No. 5 on the R&B chart and earned Michele a Best Urban/Alternative Performance Grammy for hit single “Be OK.” Her 2009 sophomore album Epiphany would prove even more successful, peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and paving the way for a series of appearances on tracks by artists including The Game, Jay-Z, and Nas. On tour with Jaheim in 2013, Michele has treated ticket buyers to her characteristically understated swagger, earning rave reviews for her soulful live concerts.

Chrisette voice is one from God. The runs, tone, and breath control were magical. Go experience this masterful artist while she is on tour.
My wife and I had an awesome experience at Arena Theatre. It was a last minute Memorial Day trip and the concert was perfect escape for us from Jackson, MS. We found out it was Houston Cigar Week and ended up going to the All White Day Party event that Sunday. All the performers did a great job and the Ticketmaster made all the transactions smooth.
In all honesty Chrisette Michele was the absolute best part of the concert. I wish that she had way more time on the stage. She's the only one that was just as good as she was when she first arrived in the music industry. Fingers crossed to see another performance.
I enjoyed the concert but the seats were too tight. I was literally touching the person next to me. The seats are way to close together. Also, recommend wearing flats because there is a long walk to the arena from the parking lot.
Amazing Vocalist! She never disappoints! Will definitely want to see her again!
The program started late. Chrisette was professional and handled herself well and was respectful to the audience. There were technical difficulties with her performance but she handled it well. Tweet was very disrespectful to the audience and seemed to be ready to get her songs over and leave. I was really disappointed with her. I saw her at the same venue a couple of years ago and she was great. All the other artist performed well.
Chrissette came on 1st and sung 3 songs. We thought she was the headliner based on the photo add but Dave never disappoints and Carl was great.
The lineup was okay….Show schedule for 8pm which didn’t start until later….Seem like a lot of confusion going on…. Artist seem to be rushing on and off the stage….Just didn’t feel the normal vibes from previous shows….Sound personal had tracks off…..I really don’t enjoy show like this….I love live music with the bands playing….It was good having a setup man…I enjoyed Ed Lover!
Wonderful night!!!!! Everyone sounded awesome, if you haven't experienced this i suggest you get in on the next one.
Sound was on point, they sound just like on the radio and did some acapello so young can see they really can sing forget thumbs up I give up both my hands....GREAT SHOW.
Overall I had a nice evening out with my bestie who was visiting from ATL but I was a bit disappointed. Chrisette Michele only performed 2.5 songs and there was no live band. Also, the DJ/Sound guy didn’t seem to have his stuff together. Thankful Dave Hollister came with the hits!
I enjoyed the local artists. And the performances but I didn’t like that the sound guy messed up on 2/4 of artist music.
didn't like venue, air not working properly, sound issues, and rotating stage was weird
Chrisette is such a professional artist. Her voice is angelic. Chrisette surprised the audience with an acapella performance when there was an equipment mishap. What a genuinely beautiful artist!
Chrisette was certainly not the Headliner. 3 acts performed after she did 3 or maybe 4 songs. Tweet, Davis Hollister and Carl Thomas were much better. Her name and face should not have been presented as the headliner. What changed?
Me and my husband enjoyed this entire concert , and the ambiance of the arena made it so nice for us!
Lady Chrisette was a wonder. Her voice was like liquid crystal. Her inner beauty was on full display and it rang in ever note she sanggg and held! I wish she could have taken a break and came back for another set! The whole audience was just in awe of her talent, her gift of song, and her essence. We stood to our collective feet more than once. I hope she returns soon. I’ll be right there…center stage@The Birchmere.
Michele’s rendering of Summertime was absolutely show stopping. She has a voice that is timeless and of the ages. Her band was on point and she engaged the crowd the entire show. An extremely well done show that left you craving for more and highly anticipating new music from this brilliant songstress.
Voice of an Angel, love the energy and her interaction with the band and crowd. Move up on my top 10 artist..
