About

Chris Stapleton was a fixture of the Nashville music scene long before becoming a contemporary torchbearer for outlaw country music. The Kentucky native moved to the Music City in 2001 and served as frontman for The SteelDrivers and The Jompson Brothers while writing songs for Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and more. Stapleton unveiled his debut solo album Traveller in 2015 behind singles like “Nobody to Blame” and his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, “Tennessee Whiskey.” The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 six months after its release and has since been RIAA-certified platinum six times. In 2017, Stapleton released the two-volume effort From a Room, and his fourth full-length Starting Over followed in 2020. Stapleton has won eight Grammys and received two additional nominations in 2023 for his fifth album, Higher. Aside from working alongside country music heavyweights like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Womack and Morgan Wallen, Stapleton has also shared the mic with pop elites such as Taylor Swift, Adele, Justin Timberlake, P!NK and Ed Sheeran.

  • AWESOME

Excellent show. Chris Stapleton sounded just like.on the CD. It was unbelievable. Anderson East was also very good. Went out and.purchased his CD after the show. Only down side to the show was the long beer lines. Took over an hour to get a beer.

very good singer and songwriter... would love to see this artist perform anywhere.

  • Very Impressive

by billybobbybrown on 3/16/16TD Garden - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Chris when he opened for Eric Church. Unfortunately, this was right before he released Traveller so I wasn't familiar with a lot of the songs. I go to about 10-20 concerts a year, and Chris is someone I will definitely be seeing again. Aside from his amazing songwriting, his voice is just incredible.

  • He is extremely talented

by ltm11 on 3/8/16Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 4 out of 5

This isn't the first time I've seen him. It is however the first time I have seen him now that other people know who he is. The show was very short. I assume that is the policy of the venue and not him. It was an amazing performance but disappointing because of length of show. It was only an hour long or just under an hour. Most people drove far for the show and paid significant money for such a short show. Chris is a must see, though.

  • Disappointed

by Anonymous on 3/7/16WinStar World Casino and Glbal Event Center - ThackervilleRating: 1 out of 5

I have been a Chris Stapleton fan for a while and was excited to see him live for the first time. The music was great for the short time he performed. After the cost of tickets, a two hour plus drive, and hotel room, he played for only one hour. It was a sold out show and eveyone there was wondering why it ended so soon as we were all walking out feeling confused and short changed. What a total let down.

  • Underwhelmed

by Anonymous on 3/2/16Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 2 out of 5

Chris was Chris.... Put on a good show... That lasted an hour. Drove 2 hours each way and spent the night in a hotel thinking this was a normal concert. Music was good but start to finish it lasted maybe an hour and 5 minutes. No opening act, no attempt to make this last a respectable amount of time. The casino is nice but the event center is like a convention hall from a 1970s Holiday Inn. WAY under impressed with duration of the show and the "global event center".

  • Talented performer

by OKJoe on 3/2/16Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 3 out of 5

Chris Stapleton is a very talented musician. Sound was great. Singing was excellent. But... the concert only lasted an hour and 20 minutes. He only played one of his many hits that have been recorded by other artists. The majority of the set list was simply off his latest album. I would have loved to see him and his guys break off into a 20 minute jam session. Basically, we left wanting more.

  • SHORT, SHORT, SHORT....

by SayWhat123456 on 3/2/16Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 2 out of 5

That was LITERALLY the shortest concert that I have ever attended. It was right at or right under an hour, including the encore. Very little chatter/banter with the audience. May be his style, but it felt like he was just "checking the box." Very disappointing.

  • Chris stapleton

by Doubled779055 on 3/2/16Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 2 out of 5

The man has a great voice and talent, lacks showmanship and only played for an hour. I paid $300 bucks for better seats and was disappointed with the show, songs were great but an hour??? Very disappointed

  • Short show- less than an hour

by OkieMusicMan on 3/2/16Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 2 out of 5

Show started at 7:15 with no opening act and show finished shortly after 8. Less than an hour for the entire show. Not sure if there were any issues but the show was awkward.

  • by Mommafields on 3/2/16Global Event Center at WinStar World Casino and Resort - ThackervilleRating: 2 out of 5

LOVE his music. Sounds the same in person as he does on the radio. However, I was highly disappointed that the concert was barely an hour long. Considering it cost more than $200.00.

  • by BeesC on 2/24/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing! It was a magical night in the Mother Church with the audience on their feet and singing along the entire night.

  • SIMPLY AMAZING!

by Anonymous on 2/23/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

If you're even considering seeing Chris Stapleton, you must. You will not regret it.

  • Chris Stapleton is our musical saviour!

by BmanofNashville on 2/23/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic show...he is such a talent and even Howard Stern likes him!

  • Once in a lifetime

by AUPam on 2/23/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Stapleton at the Ryman on the heels of his grammy win earlier in the week. Dave Cobb playing guitar on stage in the band, Morgane with her amazing version of You Are My Sunshine, which will appear on Cobb's compilation album, Southern Family, later this year. (I predict also will win a Grammy for 2016.) And John Paul White's feature with Chris and Morgane on his hauntingly beautiful Simple Song....and did I mention this was all at the Ryman? This is likely to go down as my favorite concert ever.

  • Stubhub ruined

by sciencedik on 2/23/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Something must be done to limit scalpers. I was able to get a single ticket to this wonderful even and was forced to pay 10x aftermarket because more than half the even tickets went directly into the re-sale market. The system does not provide the public with the same opportunity as scalpers to obtain tickets (for whatever reason?)

  • Chris is the most talented and best show to see!

by FriendsofcoalKY on 2/23/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

He has such an amazing voice and his music is just incredible. An absolute "must see" kinda guy!

  • Amazing!

by Whitnebee on 2/21/16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Stapleton put on a phenomenal show. I did not want to leave my seat to get a drink or use the restroom. He was humble and thanked everyone for coming along with acknowledging his crew. Raw. Country. I haven't stopped thinking about the show. The crowd left wanting more.

  • Chris Stapleton is the best of the best!

by DakotaHunt on 1/21/16Mountain Arts Center - PrestonsburgRating: 5 out of 5

He puts on a great show and takes you back to the best version of country. His wife is also a great addition to his music! He is a must see.
