About

Chris Stapleton was a fixture of the Nashville music scene long before becoming a contemporary torchbearer for outlaw country music. The Kentucky native moved to the Music City in 2001 and served as frontman for The SteelDrivers and The Jompson Brothers while writing songs for Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and more. Stapleton unveiled his debut solo album Traveller in 2015 behind singles like “Nobody to Blame” and his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, “Tennessee Whiskey.” The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 six months after its release and has since been RIAA-certified platinum six times. In 2017, Stapleton released the two-volume effort From a Room, and his fourth full-length Starting Over followed in 2020. Stapleton has won eight Grammys and received two additional nominations in 2023 for his fifth album, Higher. Aside from working alongside country music heavyweights like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Womack and Morgan Wallen, Stapleton has also shared the mic with pop elites such as Taylor Swift, Adele, Justin Timberlake, P!NK and Ed Sheeran.

  • Crowded

    by Harris1024 on 10/7/18Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 4 out of 5

It was really unbelievable how many people were at the concert. Even with the big screens, it was hard to hear and see Chris playing. We ended up leaving early and felt we heard the music better from the parking lot.

  • Live sounds as good as on record

by KortnieB on 10/7/18Riverbend Music Center - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

His music is amazing in itself. But to hear him live and he sounds exactly the way he does on record makes it that more amazing!! Love you Chris!

I took my 74 year old Grandpa for his birthday. He was so happy he cried. My Grandpa wore all black, “like Johnny Cash,” were his words. When we walked in a starter band was playing Johnny Cash. We went the day Aretha Franklin died. Stapleton’s band played one of her songs as we were walking out. Could not have been a better experience for us. Attracted a nice crowd. Sat next to nice people. Not to mention Marty Stuart!!!!! What a show. Also.......vinyl records being sold. Bought him one because he still has his 70’s record player. Thanks for a great show, gift, and a perfect memory with one of my favorite people.

  • Stapleton at Isleta was amazing

by MxPharaoh on 8/27/18Isleta Amphitheater - AlbuquerqueRating: 5 out of 5

The weather was terrible, but the show more than made up for it. Great venue! Definitely recommended his show and Isleta! Had a few friends with me that had never been to see Stapleton or at an event in Isleta. They were not disappointed. Looking forward to the next time!

  • C. Stapleton Honda Center

    by Mickey916 on 8/27/18Honda Center - AnaheimRating: 3 out of 5

The show was great! Chris rocked the house:-) But the seating @ the Honda Center is WAY too small. For anyone of height or size...not the venue for them. I'll 2nd guess going there again.

  • Chris Stapleton rocket the house!!

  • Chris Stapleton at SPAC

by LoveLife2014 on 8/27/18Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Stapleton was great! His voice is strong and true, and it was just like listening to an album. His band are all great musicians and I was pleased that he brought Marty Stuart and Brett Cobb out for a couple of songs. My only regret is that Morgane wasn't there, but that can't be helped.

  • Chris Stapleton is a Must See

by AC617N on 8/27/18Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was great. Bummed his wife wasn't with him, because her harmony is my favorite part about most of the songs. He is just as amazing live as he is recorded.

  • Chris Stapleton

by Pigandapoke on 8/27/18Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga SpringsRating: 3 out of 5

Chris Stapleton and his band are tight. Put on a great show. However Saratoga Performing Arts Center has a lot to be desired. You have a choice of paying for seats, or setting up on their lawn which I really enjoy on a summer night. Unlike other venues where you can see the stage here it’s nearly impossible, and the seats where you might catch a bit of action was all dirt. Not a place you want to set up chairs or a blanket... Now if you were to have that same concert at say the race track down the road everyone would have been able to see Chris play. If it was not for a couple of rather smalls screens I would have never known what was going on the stage at the time. Bottom line, Chris Stapleton is Awesome and the band tight. Saratoga Performing Arts not so awesome. I’d never go back unless I had seats at the stage itself.

  • Sound and performance was amazing

by Jhall187 on 8/27/18Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga SpringsRating: 5 out of 5

This venue is one of my favorites. And Chris Stapleton sounds just like the songs on the radio. Thoroughly impressed.

  • Great performance but not great seats!

by AngelWings14 on 8/26/18Saratoga Performing Arts Center - Saratoga SpringsRating: 4 out of 5

I have nothing bad to say about the artist - Chris Stapleton - or the opening acts - Brent Cobb and then Marty and the Superlatives - they were all phenomenal and I would not skip a chance to see Chris live again. That said, SPAC is a great location and venue, especially because it isn't too far from where I live and has a pretty nice set up in terms seating and vendors, BUT and it's a big BUT, there's a lot that I didn't like about my visit there. First, tickets to this concert were disgusting regarding pricing. I don't know who is technically to "blame" there but to get seats, it was around $200 which is not reasonable at all for someone like me. That means we were pretty much forced into getting lawn seats which is fine but also isn't the best when dealing with certain crowds of people. Therefore, I suppose you choose the lesser of two evils or weigh the consequences, but still... Lawn means, my partner and I spent the night having people walk in front of us, not being able to see well, having people spill drinks on or near us, and having people drunkenly disrespect boundaries or people's near us. Now, that isn't necessarily the venue's fault but it is something to consider when pricing is so ridiculous. Also, the pricing of food and drinks is ridiculous as well and yet, it's frowned upon to bring in food or your own drinks and I don't mean alcohol because I don't drink. You almost feel as if you're also at an airport going through security to get into the venue, which can be off-putting as well. Nonetheless, the night was enjoyable for the music and the talent on stage. Once again, Chris is amazing, his band is perfectly harmonized and tuned into what's going on, and he is hilarious in terms of introducing his band members which I loved. Also, I really appreciate an artist who will come out and do encores because a crowd really calls for it, and that's exactly what Chris did. Kudos to him!

  • Best Concert I've ever been to

by AndyJMunoz on 8/26/18The Forum - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Hands down my favorite concert of all time , Chris Really went above and beyond. originally thought he was only gonna do his newest album but he did all the hits and some . to top it off he did a cover for Aretha Franklin .
