About

Chris Stapleton was a fixture of the Nashville music scene long before becoming a contemporary torchbearer for outlaw country music. The Kentucky native moved to the Music City in 2001 and served as frontman for The SteelDrivers and The Jompson Brothers while writing songs for Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and more. Stapleton unveiled his debut solo album Traveller in 2015 behind singles like “Nobody to Blame” and his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, “Tennessee Whiskey.” The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 six months after its release and has since been RIAA-certified platinum six times. In 2017, Stapleton released the two-volume effort From a Room, and his fourth full-length Starting Over followed in 2020. Stapleton has won eight Grammys and received two additional nominations in 2023 for his fifth album, Higher. Aside from working alongside country music heavyweights like Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Womack and Morgan Wallen, Stapleton has also shared the mic with pop elites such as Taylor Swift, Adele, Justin Timberlake, P!NK and Ed Sheeran.

The 2 acts before Chris Stapleton went on were extremely boring. Chris Stapleton has great music however not a very good performer. Could use some better opening acts and lessons for making a crowd happy. Sorry , I am a fan just truthful about the show. And who has a lawn for there guest on a hill Ruoff Mortage Center? People falling on each other everywhere.

  • Best Concert I’ve Ever Attended!!

by H1ccup on 10/8/18Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I absolutely loved this concert!! Chris Stapleton is such an amazing musician and humble performer! I love watching him perform! I bought tickets as a gift for my dad because he loves Marty Stuart and Chris Stapleton. I think both of their performances really made it special! We are musicians ourselves so we were honored and blown away to witness both of these great musicians play separately and together! They inspire us! Also, it had been raining the day of the concert and my family had lawn tickets...we appreciated the AstroTurf carpet the venue laid down for its guests! Over all, a great experience!!

in a world of "country" music and "outlaws" it was a treat to see the actual thing with Marty Stewart and Stapleton showing that the real deal is still alive and well

  • No laser show needed

by Jasotalie on 10/8/18Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

No laser show needed, this man has so much talent he doesn't need any flash. The show and the opening acts were all great. Bringing both openers back on during the main act was a great move.

  • A little bit overloaded system

by Skirv on 10/8/18Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I have been to Ruoff many times, and never had a single complaint. Though the experience overall was great, the system seemed a bit unprepared for such a big crowd. Too long bathroom lines, too long drink lines, mud and dirt everywhere right outside the entrances/exits. But what a crowd! As for the sound - Chris Stapleton's sound mix was off the whole night, kind of a bummer at times not being able to hear any vocals.

  • Heart & Soul

  • Chris Stapelton is a great show just not at Ruoff

by FTWSteve on 10/8/18Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 1 out of 5

The sound quality was horrible in the lawn seats. Couldn't hear half of the songs or understand them. You think the 12 speakers pointing directly at us would have had sound coming from them but no.

  • Not too shabby

by Yournicknamenhere on 10/8/18Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center - NoblesvilleRating: 4 out of 5

I love his voice the bad part is we only knew about 3 of his songs with surprised me. They were all good songs but only knowing a couple makes it a bit different
