CHRIS JANSON IN CONCERT:
Country singer/songwriter Chris Janson is relatively new to the scene, but he's already earning praise as the future of country music. Hot on the heels of his 2013 debut full-length, Janson released follow-up album Take It to the Bank to critical acclaim in 2014, sealing the deal with fiery blue-collar performances that have earned him a reputation as one of the genre's most exciting live acts. Whether he's giving a mean harmonica solo or waxing romantic on songs like "'Til a Woman Comes Along," Janson never fails to captivate his audiences, promising big things to come as he hits the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Missouri, Janson was working as a songwriter as early as 18 years old, collaborating with the likes of Guns N' Roses' Bill Anderson and Holly Williams, granddaughter of Hank Williams, Sr. After relocating to Nashville, he landed a year-long residency at Tootsie's Orchid Lounger, where he caught the attention of Neil Young one night with a cover of Young classic "Cortez the Killer." Releasing his self-titled debut album in 2013, Janson landed two singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, "Better I Don't" and "Cut Me Some Slack," but it was his unpredictable live performances that really turned heads. Following the early-2014 release of sophomore album Take It to the Bank, Janson hit the road for a highly anticipated tour in support of the record.
Chris was amazing. Jammed out on he drums. Killed it on the harmonica and had so much energy. Great show. Pens peak is an awesome venu.
Chris did not play most of the songs on his only CD and the ones he did sing were only part of the song. He didn't even sing the full song of Buy Me a Boat. His tribute to Merle Haggard was nice, but seemed a time filler not from the heart. Chris kept telling the crowd how great they were and how thankful he was for them. However, he did not have enough gratitude to come out for one encore song. He went straight to his bus. Chris Janson's style and songs made him seem like a down to earth, people's artist. His concert proved to be the opposite. He lost a fan.
Great place to see a show. People working there were excellent
Chris is an amazing performer, down to earth and puts on a great show. He's written songs for Tim McGraw, Justin Moore, Randy Houser, Joe Nichols, LoCash and more... Don't miss him...soon he will be Entertainer of the Year! The venue, Penns Peake in Jim Thorpe, PA is beautiful and the sound was great. All staff was polite and friendly.
Concert was amazing! Chris was entertaining, involved the crowd and impressed me with his harmonica and drum playing!
I've been a fan of Chris Janson for almost 8 years now. I love how his songs always tell a story. I love his passion for what he does. His energy levels are through the roof! I have never been able to stand still at any of his shows. Chris has been a very thankful man every time I've seen him play. His concert will be one you'll never forget.
He sang a lot of great songs and it was a high energy show.
This was my third time seeing him this year ! He has never gave a bad performance, you can tell he truly loves what he does! He's simply a real down to earth guy! Just don't expect a concert during hunting season!lol
He is awesome on the harmonica (don't see that every day) and a great songwriter for himself as well as other artists.
I had seen some videos of Chris Janson performing, but nothing could prepare me for what was a fantastic show! High energy doesn't begin to describe his performance! The band was solid, Lead guitar player could really play, but the clear focus was Chris. His singing seemed a bit off on the high notes, but it didn't detract from the show. And that harmonica playing was great.
It was one of the greatest concert experiences that I have been to. He is an awesome entertainer. He had the crowd on their feet several times and interacting with him. He also played 4 different instruments. I can't wait to see him again.
The venue was very nice and clean. The server were very friendly one in particular Larissa Pittman was her name. She was incredible. The concert was amazing I loved every bit of it.
He interacted with the crowd, including the children, and also he is amazing on the harmonica and the drums as well. I would defianately recommend Chris Janson!!!
