Childish Gambino in Concert
Donald Glover prefaced his This Is America tour with the cryptic announcement that it would be his last ever — at least with the Childish Gambino moniker, under which he makes ultra-ambitious, ever-evolving hip-hop and soul. If that's the case, he's closing at his absolute peak, riding high off 2016's Grammy-winning hit "Redbone" and 2018's era-defining anthem "This Is America."
Gambino takes the stage backed by a 10-piece band and a crew of dancers, plus a flashy light show. But he remains the focus of it all, shifting seamlessly from swaggering soul man to intense MC and sprinkling hints of new material amid his biggest hits. If Gambino's introduction to the rap game was as an endearing introvert, he's now the ultimate showman — a once-in-a-generation talent at the top of his game.

Musician, actor, writer, producer, director, comedian — the man born Donald Glover is the ultimate 21st-century Renaissance man. Raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia, Glover broke into the industry writing for ‘30 Rock' and starring in the NBC sitcom ‘Community.'
Meanwhile, he'd been releasing brainy, left-field rap mixtapes under his Childish Gambino alter ego (a name he'd randomly coined thanks to an online Wu-Tang Clan name generator). By his second album, 2015's ‘Because the Internet,' he'd honed his craft and drifted further into singing — and into his first Grammy nomination.
On 2016's ‘Awaken, My Love!,' Glover ventured into full-blown funk mode, channeling George Clinton and Sly Stone. "Redbone," the album's breakthrough hit, would win a Grammy for Best Traditional R&B Performance. That same year saw the premiere of ‘Atlanta' — the hard-hitting and hilarious FX series in which Glover writes, executive produces, and often stars.
Many saw the show as Glover reaching his final form — but then came 2018's "This Is America," a song and video that summed up the current moment in American culture with gut-wrenching precision. There's no ceiling to what this multidisciplinary talent can do.
I've loved Childish Gambino since before I could remember and seeing him was so unreal! He was better than expected. Between his dancing and his singing, I don't know which one was better! His music always puts me in the best mood and I don't know where I would be without it. I am, however, so sad that it's his last tour. I am thankful for the opportunity to see him!

This was an amazing and beautifully thought out performance.
From start to finish, the concert was great. Rae Sremmurd was too amazing and I was so excited to see them. Childish Gambino was a dream come true and I was so happy that I got to see him perform. I think I cried probably twice during the show. I have been a huge fan of his for years now and just had to see him, and now I can say I have seen one of my favorite rappers/performers in person, especially since this will be his last tour as an artist.
Childish Gambino is such a talented artist it’s unbelievable. His showmanship is uncanny and the entire experience was a warm hug for the soul. He had the entire stadium on their feet and the place was so excited just to see him. It was definitely an amazing night that my boyfriend and I will never forget!!
Top three of all concerts ever together with Prince at Roskilde Festival, Denmark, in 2015 and Prince, At Falkoner, also Denmark in 1999. You kind of get the picture.
Amazing, amazing experience. I am so happy to have been a part of his final tour ever. I had the VIP package and it was the most ethereal experience to be up close to one of my favorite artists.

Childish Gambino has such a good voice!!! It’s really something to see live. I’ve been a fan since 2013 (kinda late) and I finally got to see Bino live for his last tour. He did some old stuff from my favorite album (Because the Internet) and he even did unreleased songs!! Highly recommend.
This was my first time having floor seats at an arena and it was so worth it. That was the best show I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been to A LOT of concerts
