Really loved the huge sound, the joy with which the participants sang! I know that so many of the lyrics were changed, but I found it difficult to understand them. Maybe put them up on the screen or have a QR code with them? Thank you!
This year’s holiday production was just wonderful! It isn’t the season until I see this show! I actually went twice! Friday night at the Harris Theater and Sunday at North Shore Center. The show always bring me so much joy! I highly recommend it and also recommend purchasing tickets as soon as they go on sale, as their shows usually sell out.
CGMC Christmas shows are the highlight of the season. The music, dancing, and reinterpretations of songs are wonderful. The audience vibe combined with the performances creates an authentic holiday spirit that will leave you smiling for days!!
This was my first time seeing the CGMC (where have I been???). They focused on popular music from their founding year in this performance, which was also the year of my college graduation, so the music was familiar and a fun walk down memory lane. I enjoyed every single minute. It wasn't just the music, but the costuming, the choreography etc. The joy of the performers onstage was palpable, and I loved that. I think I smiled the entire time. I brought my 88 year old mother. She enjoyed it, too. I can't wait to see more from them. Definitely worth your time. Go see them!

We didn’t even notice how the time went by! Every song that was incredibly well done also had a mini themed performance with so much humor , vibrant costumes, glitter and fun! Beyond all expectations, creative and witty performance!
We had so much fun at this performance! We laughed, sang and did have a tear at one point during the show. I cannot tell you how great this show is- a must for Christmas!
It was spectacular. I’m 63. I go to Broadway a couple times a year. See shows in Chicago all the time. Seen more than a thousand shows. This was one of the best things I’ve ever seen. So much fun. And emotional. I want to join the choir.
Everything from the sold out audience to the very earnest production was fantastic. Sitting in the last row, top balcony last two seats. The fun and energy was still felt. For me the memories section was emotional and heartfelt however it felt to me like they were difficult to recover from. Be that as it may….a wholly satisfying enjoyable evening. Congratulations all around
Technically perfect musically featuring an eclectic mix of songs ranging from complex chorale pieces to wildly creative arrangements and lyrics. Slick choreography and wickedly hilarious performances, costumes and staging are balanced by moments of pure, and sometimes raw, emotion that often bring a tear to the eye or a gasp to the throat. This has become a not-to-be-missed event for us.
