About

Chevelle on Tour

Chevelle is the understated musical powerhouse who have continually delivered rock anthems for the past 24 years. 7 number one hits, 17 songs reaching the top 10 charts, over 4 million records sold in the USA and many more world wide. Platinum and gold albums across their 8 studio records and successful live CD and two live DVD releases completes their extensive body of work to date. It's all credit to their continuing dedication to be true to their craft, the genre and their fans. Chevelle's last two album releases, La Gargola and The North Corridor, both debuted #1 on the Billboard rock charts at #3 and #8, respectively, on the Billboard top 200 charts. With no signs of this Chicago alternative rock trio slowing down any time soon, their numerous chart topping releases have certainly earned this band a place in American rock music history.

After more than two decades together, numerous releases, and countless world wide tours, the outfit consisting of brothers Pete Loeffler [guitars, vocals], Sam Loeffler [drums], and brother in-law Dean Bernardini [bass, vocals] have confidently sailed through decades of uncharted waters and have emerged with a collection that's equally intricate and intimate.

Certainly it builds upon the group's impressive foundation, including the 2002 platinum-selling genre staple Wonder What's Next and the 2004 gold-selling follow-up This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In which debuted #8 on the Billboard Top 200. The releases that followed held their own against the ever-changing faces of popular music for the time. 2007's Vena Sera reached #2 for rock album on the Billboard charts. 2009's release Sci-Fi Crimes reached #6 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the alternative charts. 2011's Hats Off to The Bull reached #5 on the Billboard Top 200, 2014's La Gargola debuted #3 on the Billboard Top 200. Most recently, 2016's The North Corridor album debuted #8 and soon reached #2 on the Billboard Top 200. La Gargola and The North Corridor both debuted #1 on the Billboard rock charts with The North Corridor vinyl release reaching #7 on the Billboard top 25 Vinyl charts. Chevelle released a B-sides and rarities collection titled 12 Bloody Spies in October 2018 while they wrote and recorded their much anticipated 9th studio album. This next album release, set for 2020 will be sure to add another chapter to the extensive catalog of this successful music career.

"You don't want to repeat yourself," affirms Sam. "We want to seize something different with each song. Every record has to take on its own identity. As an artist, you have to progress and evolve." As they continue to master their craft, Chevelle take on the critics and prove time and time again that they a force to be reckoned with.

    Chevelle kicked butt

by Female Pajama Johnson on 10/10/23Choctaw Grand Theater - Durant

It was fun to see Loathe. They're the British reincarnation of Deftones in some ways, but still have their own style. Disappointed in their setlist. They didn't have much time, but no Two-Way Mirror or A Sad Cartoon? Three Day's Grace is the same since Gontier left - struggling vocals and a generic performance full of contrived efforts to engage the crowd. Chevelle, on the other hand, was fantastic. Great setlist building toward the classics with a sprinkling of their better stuff from Niratias. The sound was great, the stage show was perfect. Pete Loeffler's vocals were on point and brother Sam's drums were bone crushing. Their delivery was straight forward, and although I would've liked a bit more audience engagement, I'd rather have more music and they delivered in spades.

    Audio was rough

by Chandler on 10/10/23The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - Woodlands

I’ve seen chevelle before and they did wonderful. So I was disappointed that it seemed like the audio wasn’t tested or something happened during the concert to make chevelle sound terrible. Three days Grace sounded great before chevelle went on so I figured whoever chevelle a sound guy is, might need a stern reprimand. A lot of people left early after a few songs because of it. It was pretty disappointing since we drove an hour to see them.

I was disappointed with the accoustics

by DT77070 on 10/9/23The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion presented by Huntsman - Woodlands

The problem may be with where I was sitting ( Section 101 Row GG Seat 8 ), but there were many songs where the lyrics could not be deciphered and the songs sounded the same as the others. This was a issue with Three Days Grace and Chevelle. I had never listened to the band called Loathe, and it is impossible to recognize songs that you have never heard. I have experienced this issue in the past at Cynthia Woods Michell Pavilion. For this reason, this is the first concert I have attended at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion in over five years. The person who sat next me said that she had experienced the same issue at some concerts at Cynthia Williams Mitchell Pavilion, both in the covered area and the lawn area. She felt that the sound engineers at times focused the sound so that the people in the lawn area would be able to hear well. I attended a festival at least 10 years ago when Chevelle performed and I was able to hear them well and enjoyed them. I am not sure what has been modified about the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. I probably won't be attending any concerts at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion in the near future, even though tickets there are far more reasonable and have fewer service charges than the Toyota Center and Smart Financial Centere.

Waited for Chevelle to perform and they didn't even play their best songs. Not wasting money on lawn tickets next show.
