CHELSEA GRIN IN CONCERT:
Salt Lake City deathcore outfit Chelsea Grin has been melting the faces of metalheads everywhere with their dark, ferocious sound and epic live shows. On stage the band unleashes their extreme metal with savage ferocity and inhuman precision, whipping fans into a frenzy with a triple guitar onslaught, snaking basslines, and thundering drums. Frontman Alex Koehler lords over the mayhem with rabid intensity, menacingly growling his macabre lyrics about hell and damnation as if possessed by a demon. Fans in the crowd feed off his fiery passion, chanting ritualistically between songs and moshing with reckless abandon to the bandís breakneck tempos and bludgeoning riffs. As Chelsea Grin tears through brutal jams like ìCrewcabangerî and ìRecreantî, ticket buyers are fully immersed in the maelstrom of their hard-hitting sound.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Chelsea Grin formed in 2007 and found a fanbase almost immediately after uploading the tracks ìCrewcabangerî and ìLifelessî to Myspace. Following the release of a self-titled EP in 2008 they signed with Artery Records and issued their 2010 debut album Desolation of Eden to a No. 21 spot on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. Their sophomore album My Damnation was an even bigger success, reaching No. 6 on the Hard Rock chart and leading to tours with bands like Attila and After the Burial. The band was a touring juggernaut between 2012-2014, hitting Europe several times and also rocking stateside fans with two stints on the Vans Warped Tour. Their third album, 2014ís Ashes to Ashes, was another commercial success, reaching No. 4 on the Hard Rock chart and drawing them out on several headlining tours. Following the 2016 release of their decibel-shattering single ìSkin Deepî and news that they signed on with Rise Records, Chelsea Grin promised fans that their fourth album would be their ìmost aggressive release to dateî.

Great Venue. First time attending. Very good show. The bands were awesome.
Chelsea Grin is one of the best live shows, full of energy and amazing stage presence! 4th time I have seen them and would definitely recommend!
I just wish the venue wasn’t grimy But Chelsea Grin killed it.
What a show! These dudes put on a killer show. Sound was perfect. Would definitely see again.
The building was nice, having a side railing section was good to avoid the mosh pit and have a great view of the stage. The building was kept surprisingly cold which I appreciate due to the amount of bodies usually making it too warm. Pizza and drinks were good. The merch line wasn't fun being in the way of the entrance and exit. The show itself was awesome, the sound mixing in the speakers sounded great compared to other shows I've seen. All the bands (Ov Sulfur, Left to Suffer, Carnifex, and Chelsea Grin) put on great shows.
Got in early for barricade. left to suffer was dope, caught a pick from them and carnifex.
They did an amazing performance. The music, the singing. All of it was so magical to witness in person. Chelsea Grin was amazing, and they made sure to also be inspiring in the process. They stopped the show to help a person that was injured and made sure everyone else was okay. They are amazing people and an amazing band.
It was a fun experience and a great show. 👍🏻🎤🎶
Great show despite Carnifex having technical difficulties. Chelsea Grin was great and the pit was super aggressive. I saw a minimum of 3 fights. Would recommend.
It was a kickass experience.. all the bands performed awesome..
Great environment and awesome energy, Id love to see them all again and again. And this venue was very nice!
Hardest show I have been to all year. Protip: there is no safe place from a pit at a Chelsea Grin show. Even the back of the venue was getting thrashed around, merch tables being knocked over. The front row had a pit. The pit had a pit. The entire floor was chaos! 10/10 will do again.
The whole experience was awsome from the start traitors got the crowd moving from the first song and the energy just kept getting better. Left behind's set got the whole room moshing and when spite came on it was pure unadultered chaos that didnt stop until chelsea grins last song. In short every band absolutely killed it.
Absolutely amazing show. The bands were incredible and the venue is always perfect. Thanks for a great experience!
One of the best shows i've ever attended. Soundstage always has the best shows!
Chelsea Grin was absolutely awesome. Great show. Great sound. Great openers. Loved Wage War! The only downfall for us was that this was an all ages show and was over with by about 930pm (strange). The average age appeared to be about 17 years old. That did however make it real easy to grab a beer.
Freaking unforgettable! It was my sons first concert!!! And he will remember this forever! Thanks guys!! Y'all made the best impression of what singers are like in person for my son. I appreciate that.
the 3 opening bands were phenomenal. i didn't know who they were, but it struck an interest-spark in me and they're definitely worth looking at. once Attila came on, the crowd went crazy and immediately began screaming along with Chris. we were all pumped and excited, going crazy! then came CG. that's when things went crazier. everyone was headbanging, the bass was vibrating the entire venue, and Alex and the band just put on a great show. incredible night and can't wait to come back to see them and many other bands!
Alright, so I missed the first band (Forget who they were), but we walked in right before Crown the Empire began. They were alright, Upon this Dawning was next, and were pretty darn good. Stick to your Guns wasn't my type of music, but they had a great, great stage presence and I really liked them. But man oh man, when Chelsea Grin came on, my mind was blown. The bass was CRAZY, the breakdowns were brutal, and the vocals were phenomenal. I totally lost it during their performance. Motionless in White was headliner, and did an awesome job. They did Immaculate Misconception for their encore which was GREAT. Just a great, great concert. Also, the venue was perfect! The Crofoot is big enough for people to fit comfortably, but small enough so that wherever you are you feel close to the band. And I forgot to mention, I got to talk to Alex Koehler of Chelsea Grin!!!! He walked right by my car as we were about to get in. Unforgettable concert.
