You could not have asked for a better day at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Jazz Festival. The place was great! The sound quality was one of the best I have experienced in a long time. Needless to say the wine there was excellent and reasonably priced. You can’t go wrong with good wine, good music family and friends.
I never thought I'd complain about the weather being too hot, but when the sun went down and the music started....it was fabulous! Listening to the old tunes along with the new while relaxing on the lawn was like taking a mini-vacation get away. I had never heard of either the opening or closing bands: 'Sax in the City' and 'BWB'. Glad to discover such individually talented artists comprising these groups.
The festival was beyond our expectations. The price of the reserved seating was a steal. You made it affordable to see and enjoy top performing artists. The grounds of the Winery were beautiful and the wine was delicious. I suggest that the price of the wine( Reisling) be lowered. After all it is produced in the state of WA and cost less in grocery stores. Thanks so much for over 5 hours of pure pleasure.
The weather was beautiful and everything went perfectly!! the line up was really nice and, we just loved getting to see so many artists all at once!!! Our only suggestion is to open the gates earlier...... 2 hours before the concert starts is just not early enough to get in and get settled. We did arrive very early and waited in line and that was ok but we would much rather have been waiting and eating etc... while inside the venu rather than have to pack up and move from the line to inside.
It was my first time to Chateau Ste. Michelle and found the winery to be well suite for concerts. I leared that the next time I attend a concert that I will choice lawn seats and bring in my own food an nonalcoholic beverages. Also. suggest getting to the concert at least an hour early to avoid traffic and to assured of venu parking.
It was a good concert. Sun was a little hot in the afternoon and there was inadequate shade in the grassy area to escape the sun. After 6:00 the sun went behind the trees and everything was back to normal.
The Festival of Jazz was wonderful. All three groups were very good, but the second one was really fantastic. We had such a good time on a beautiful sunny afternoon/evening listening to great musicians!
This was a great concert. The weather was perfect and the environment was relaxing.
I loved this event and so happy to see it back. This event is something that my family comes in from around the country to do together as a family event. When the sponsoring radio station 'folded' and the show didn't take place we were all devastated because we so looked forward to the wine, music and all around good time that we were used to having. Can't wait to do it again next year!
It was a time travel night for me and my wife to watch our favorite smooth jazz musicians to mention... live! David Benoit Norman Brown Peter White in a jazz festival with most of the best smooth jazz artists in the nation. And who could be luckier than David Benoit celebrating his 60th birthday on that day!!! Everything was so organized and the crowd was so cool....enjoying every song that was played. Bottle of wine, cheese, grapes strawberries and a picturesque background...who could ask for more!!! Will do this again!,,,
This was in essence 3 concerts, all different and all VERY HIGH END jazz!!! David Benoit and Tim White were truly amazing, and never hearing Sax in the City before, am definitely a fan. And BWB....wow! Norman Brown, Kurt Whalum, and Rick Braun were truly the epitome of jazz musicians having fun and the audience the beneficiary. Wonderful venue, polite crowd as jazz concert goers usually are, good wines to buy at Chateau St. Michelle and security to keep all in order. Jazz here is a definite repeat!! Totally amazing day!!!

This was a great concert. Good weather , great food, wonderful wine, and good friends. What more can you ask for. Would do it again in a heart beat.
We traveled from Texas to attend this great event. The concert venue was fabulous--outdoors, beautiful weather, great wine and on the grounds of the gorgeous Chateau Ste. Michelle. We were in Section C, but felt like we were right up on the stage. Sound was fantastic. The artists picked a great selection of songs. The lead singer from Ambrosia was a special nostalgic touch from the 70's! We would highly recommend these Summer Concerts and are planning to go back next year!
OMG.....best jazz event EVER. Perfect weather, fabulous music and not too crowded. Can't wait for next years event. Thanks CSM!!
