Parking not available for event
by Bruce on 10/10/24Rating: 1 out of 5I purchased tickets for Weezer at Chase Center in SF in the spring. I had not purchased parking at that time and when I realized I would be driving them I tried to purchase parking for $50. An email from ticketmaster provided a link to do so. This was in the summer. This site always showed "no tickets available at this time, please try back later". I saw the same message up until the date of the show. So we drove there and searched for alternative parking. Google showed a monthly parking lot that required membership. The next search result turned out to be the venue. We paid $75 and got a valet parking ticket but parked ourselves. The streets were closed off and we were directed to drive on the wrong side of the road to access the parking. It would appear that the venue and streets were not designed to handle the show they are selling tickets for. The sound at the venue proved this as well. The arena was cut in half but the area behind the band and sound system had no sound barrier so the reflected bass made everything sound like mud. For a venue that is changing close to 100 dollars a head , they should be able to support the show.
