My son could barely contain his excitement throughout the performance. His favorite character was Templeton, but I loved the geese, Wilbur, and Charlotte, as well as the Fair President. The characters were easy to understand and had so much sparkle throughout the performance. I will be on the lookout for future performances by this group!
I brought 5 kids aged 4 - 13 to see this play and we all liked it. Wilbur, Charlotte, and the Goose in particular were all spectacular characters. When the play ended, my 6 yr-old nephew announced "that was awesome!" My little niece enjoyed meeting the characters after the show. Highly recommended, great for families. We liked the theater too.
As a birthday present for my niece, I treated her and my sister to an afternoon performance of Charlotte's Web. I was curious how this terrific book and story would be interpreted on the stage. It was great. It was staged simply and followed the story perfectly. The actors in their multiple roles were funny, sweet and well versed in their different characters. Templeton the rat, as expected, was a scene stealer but all in all all of the actors were quite good. My niece and sister enjoyed the show too. It was a triumph as a birthday gift.
It was boring and ridiculous. My kids wanted to leave early. We have been to many shows but this one was the worst. The hour didn't come soon enough.
the whole play was wonderful, the children had a great time, and great idea to have the arts and crafts outside to help keep the children entertained! we will return.
For what the performance was, I thought it was over priced and fair at best. The sound was set extremely loud. This was a children's performance and many children were covering their ears. I really wanted to leave myself, however my child was really excited to see it since she read the book this summer. She was uncomfortable with the sound, but wanted to see how it played out. I have been to many performances at the TO Civic Arts Plaza (for less money and more money) and this by far was our least favorite. We were all very disappointed.
