Charlie Wilson Concert Schedule
The Gap Band alumnus and adult contemporary R&B superstar Charlie Wilson has been dazzling audiences and listeners with his sultry vocals since the takeoff of his solo career in the early 2000s. Charlie Wilson's tour dates feature an electrifying energy more akin to a tight-knit party than a sold-out concert, as seen in his 2017 In It To Win It Tour, his 2015 Forever Charlie Tour and his 2013 Love, Charlie Tour, among many others. Wilson is known for his smooth funk & soul singing style, which, combined with his talents as a songwriter, producer and keyboardist, has led to the creation of numerous R&B hits over his eight solo studio albums. On stage, Charlie puts on a show with an unmatched level of energy. He beckons crowds to take to their feet and feel the music as his band delivers with tightly composed rhythms and he serenades with his dulcet melodies. In addition to praise from fellow performers, Charlie Wilson's music has earned him 11 Grammy Award nominations, six NAACP Image Award nominations (along with one win for Outstanding Album), and numerous honors from BET, Billboard and Soul Train, along with acknowledgements from across the music industry and beyond.
Charlie Wilson Background
Charlie Wilson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1953. The son of a Christian minister, he learned to play piano and sing in church, providing the musical background that led to the formation of The Gap Band with his brothers Ronnie and Robert. After the group announced their retirement in 2010, Charlie shifted his focus to concentrate on his solo career, becoming Billboard Magazine's No. 1 Adult R&B Artist and a breakout success. Wilson's first solo album, Bridging The Gap, came in 2000, earning him acclaim from the single "Without You." His follow-up release, Charlie, Last Name Wilson, went certified gold and produced the eponymous single (along with fellow R&B vocalist R. Kelly) by which he is most often known. In subsequent years, Charlie Wilson continued to release and chart on the Billboard Hot 200 and R&B/Hip-Hop charts and sold more than 1 million copies of his albums. Wilson has inspired generations of performers who also feature him on their own records. He was given the affectionate nickname "Uncle Charlie" by Snoop Dogg and collaborated with the rapper (and Justin Timberlake) on the 2013 track "Signs.
The concert was nice and the comedians keep the auidence laughing as we celebrated New Year's Eve. Chrisette gave an amazing performance followed by Mr. Wilson and his dancers. In the sunset of his career, he has been able to make a remarkable come back. His testimony speaks volumes!
I was in for a surprise uncle Charlie was dancing across the stage like he was the first time I saw him with The Gap Band. He look great despite the ups and downs of his life and I am glad to see him on top again. We love you Uncle Charlie!!!!
The concert was really wonderful. Charlie is full of energy and excitment. It's great to hear the oldies and goodies, and the current music all in one night. He gives a show that is non-stop!! I appreiciate how he give thanks to GOD during his performance.

This was the best concert I ever attended. I have seen quite a few in my lifetime, but Charlie Wilson put on a very good concert.
Charlie rang in the New Year in style!!! This was my first time seeing him live and it was just like listening to his records. He moves like a 20-year old!!! I had sooooo much fun at his show!! He mixed in the old with the new so everybody could sing along. It was refreshing to see that some of his female dancers were curvaceous and oh so sexy!!! The dances were choreographed excellently to add to the performance but not take away from the singing.
I was very excited to see Charlie Wilson he is amazing, He knows how to move the audience and get them involved in the performance. Chrisette Michele her voice is so smooth, strong and intense this sister can sing.
I liked Chrisette but I feel like w/ such a powerful voice she needs to have a live band not singing to tracks that was not impressive at all. Now Charlie turned it out he gets 5 stars and then some!!!!
This concert was one of the best this entire year. The artists were outstanding!
I REALLY REALLY loved the comedian Jay Lamont who preceeded the show. Chrisette was great! Charlie was dynamic. It was a great show!!!!!!!!!!
What a way to bring in the New Year with these two unbelievably talented artist. Chrisette always ROCKS and leaves her fans satisfied. Then Uncle Charlie was the icing on the cake. Kept me on my feet all night and brought back so many great memories. Will never forget New Year Eves 2010
This was one of the best shows, I have seen. Number 1 it started on time. The entertainment in between the shows was great. Chrisette Michele was awesome, this young lady has some vocals on her. Charlie Wilson was awesome, he gave 200% of himself.
Uncle Charlie is always amazing in concert. Chrisette Michele added to his already fantabulous show. Keep doing what your doing you are amazing Charlie. Looking forward to seeing you soon in Detroit, Indy.....etc. Love ya!

I missed him in August 2010 at Chastian. I am so grateful I had this opportunity to witness and enjoy this awesome show! Charlie is truly one of the last professional R&B groups. His energy and great voice were off the top! Every time he comes to town we will be there. Love you Charlie

Charlie was everything I thought he would be and more. With the new songs and the old songs from the Gap Band days he is really worth the money and you will be treated to a great show. Chrisette was good just would have liked to see her with a live band.
A truely wonderful experience filled with all the elements of a true professional. New artist have a lot to learn from "Uncle Charlie". How to treat your fans, and being appreciative, for an oppurtunity to serve and provide and share a true God given talent. Worth every dollar! Keep doing what you do Charlie Wilson.
This show was great from beginning to end. Chrisette Michelle was great & Uncle Charlie put it down. Will be going to see him again in April.
I enjoyed the concert, Charlie put on a Great show. Chrisette Michelle wore s gorgoes gown and also did a wonderful job. Chrisette Ballet dances were awesome and just right for the music she creates !
