Deacon was pretty good, but stage setup was a joke
by Alexander123456 on 7/6/15Trustmark Park - PearlCharles Esten, aka Deacon, sounded pretty good for the most part. He did a real good job on the slow love ballad type songs. Where he fell down was when he tried to cover some songs from Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones, etc. Those covers were kinda hard to listen to. I enjoyed his energy. The crowd turnout was very dismal. They had the stage set up way, way, way out at 2nd base. Even if you had front row seats, you needed binoculars to even tell it was him. My wife loves the show Nashville and especially Deacon. She loved it all . . . so it was well worth it all things considered. Another thing about it was that the $25 ticket ended up costing over $36 with all the added on fees. I was under the impression that I had to buy the tickets via the internet, but when I arrived at the ticket window to pick up my tickets, I realized I could have bought them for $29 cash. I was not happy with that.
