About

Bold pop hooks, honest songwriting, and a heavy dose of glitter make up the world of Chappell Roan, the next multi-faceted force in pop music. Through her punchy bangers that combine fantastical narratives and heart-baring self-reflection, the LA-based singer, songwriter, and performer has emerged as the rare star who is both larger than life and real as hell. Throughout a momentous 2022, with two sold-out national tours in one year, and critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, the LA Times, Pitchfork, V Mag, Line of Best Fit, Nylon, NPR, Clash, Vulture, Billboard, OUT, among many others, her debut album, "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess," is set to arrive on September 22, 2023, via Amusement Records/Island Records.

    CHAPPELL ROAN IS A SHOWWOMAN

by Abbey on 10/29/23Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

Such an incredible performer and artist. Her energy is unreal and she is a VOCALISTTTTTTT!!! Absolutely obsessed with her opening acts too. Sharing the space with local queens was a perfect way to start the show.

    Great artist, annoying venue

by SJ on 10/24/239:30 CLUB - WASHINGTON

Chappell is great - high energy, knows how to communicate with the crowd, if you enjoy her music you'll love it live. 9:30 Club is a fine venue if you're gen admission. If you want a VIP experience, don't spend your money and time here. Twice I've had basically the same experience. 1) VIP details come out late -which isn't on the venue, but it does make it difficult to plan logistics, and you need to know what you're doing if you don't actually live inside DC. The venue's parking lot isn't dedicated and opens only an hour before gen adm doors. 2) 9:30 Club does *not* work with artists to ensure the VIP experience is actually what they advertise. Sure, they check off your name, but you get into the venue way later than advertised and then the 'experience' is cut short. 3) Not on the venue, probably more of a regional culture, but the crowd tends to be rude. I've been to other big name venues of a similar size where the crowd is just pure joy and love.

    a costume dance party

by rach on 10/24/239:30 CLUB - WASHINGTON

I've been to probably 30+ concerts and this one was by far the best atmosphere I've experienced. Not only is Chappell incredibly talented but she helped foster the most fun (and safe) atmosphere for the queer community. For this concert, she set the theme to be pink pony just like her song Pink Pony Club, everyone was dressed up. It was so fun and she gave an awesome performance.

    A Religious Experience

by Ally on 10/24/239:30 CLUB - WASHINGTON

Chappell Roan's concert stood as a testament not only to her discography of pop perfection but to the comfortable space she creates for the queer community. Being in a room of so many who have at some point in their life felt on the outside of community but now felt like they were inside was an experience I would compare to a religious awakening. Now take that and add great music, visual, and costumes. This is a show I would tell everyone to see if I could just so they could feel the energy in the room first hand.

    Pink Pony Dreams

by Taylor on 10/23/239:30 CLUB - WASHINGTON

I saw Chappell Roan in 2018, and I’m so amazed by how far she’s come. Her stage presence is amazing, and the environment was so accepting and powerful. Loved that everyone dressed up with the theme. 2 people passed out in the crowd and she stopped the whole show both times to make sure they were okay, and then made the venue give everyone water bottles. Her energy and voice are amazing, a concert I’ll never forget.

A little too late, a little too crowded

by Rach on 10/23/239:30 CLUB - WASHINGTON

Chappell is of course a consummate professional but I have NEVER been to a 9:30 club show that started that late and was that crowded. Normally, this would not be an issue but when multiple people pass out at the show, you have to be a bit concerned. The staff were of course so great at getting folks the help they needed, but I wonder what else could have been done to prevent this sort of thing from happening. Hoping for a smoother program next time, I found myself really disappointed that an artist so energized had to continually stop the show, cutting off songs and looking super concerned.

    A Supernova Concert

by Global Gorg on 10/23/23Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

Chappel had drag queens open up for the performance, local queens nonetheless. She talked about how a portion of her tickets went to LGBTQ+ charities and she named one of the audience members "Miss Detroit"and gave her a sash. She taught the entire audience a dance, shared heartfelt stories with us, and absolutely crushed her performances with amazing vocals and campy theatrics. Genuinely one of the best concerts I have ever been to, and the venue made it even more perfect. Don't miss out on this midwestern princess, she is going to be a pop culture icon. She already is a culture icon for me and so many other LGBT people.

    BEST. SHOW. EVER.

by danielle on 10/20/23Citizens House of Blues Boston - Boston

I love Chappell, I listen to her music all the time and am absolutely obsessed with her album, and when I say her live performance rivals her studio recordings!!!! I brought my musician friend and she couldn't get over how incredible Chappell's live vocals were, especially since she was dancing and crouching and doing all these poses that are apparently very hard to sing in and still belting. Obviously her music is incredible and so much fun to sing and dance along with, but beyond that, the atmosphere she creates is so special. It's just so much love and queer joy! I only wish she did 2 nights in Boston bc I would've been back again for round 2 in a heartbeat.

    Best Concert Ever!

by Jj on 10/19/23Citizens House of Blues Boston - Boston

Kayleigh has the voice of an angel, the scene is set by drag queens, a sold out show, and a venue that takes safety seriously = the best concert ever. I’m so excited to see Chappell Roan take off ever more and I feel so lucky to have seen her on this tour. I went with 3 other people who agree it was one of the best concerts they had ever seen.

    Midwestern Pop Femininomenon

by KWON on 10/18/23The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I brought tickets for the show to surprise my boyfriend and it was worth it! Chappell’s microphone was ON, she was funny, kindhearted and so warm. Everyone was nice and came to dance and enjoy the show. Her limited edition drink Midwestern Princess was delicious too. If you want to enjoy yourself and dance without receiving judgement, Chappell’s show is the place to go. Such a promising act!!! Can’t wait to see where she’ll be in the next five years.

    Best Night Ever

by Taylor on 10/17/23The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Standing in the rain was bleh but BEYOND worth it. As a queer disabled person I have never felt so safe at a concert in my near thirty years of life. I had my Walker with me and no one pushed me or my mobility aid. I was at the barricade and not once felt unsafe. Chappell gave me the chance to sing and scream my heart out and I never felt weird or ashamed of it. Chappell is so personable and I will always aim to get the soundcheck experience to have that smaller group setting. Chappell’s concert outshined the Harry Styles concert I attended not to long ago. The music, fans, the shopping experiences, the atmosphere. If you ever get the chance to see Chappell take the chance. You won’t regret it. 10/10 🩵

    Oh my god

by Alicia (3-Hats) on 10/17/23The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Literally I will never be the same. Chappell is a phenomenal performer- endlessly funny, down to earth and honest, and of course, rocking killer vocals. She sounds even better live, dare I say. The audience was also hands down the kindest and most welcoming concert crowd I have ever been a part of. I felt so safe and accepted and had an absolute blast. I will definitely be in the audience the next time she is performing near me!!

would gladly return to the pink pony club

by Beckybonez on 10/17/23The Fillmore Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Chappell put on such a fun show! I appreciate that she hires local talent from every city she plays in. The drag show was so fun and it’s cool that all her opening shows are different. Great energy on her end, loved her vulnerability and attitude.

    my queer heart is glowing

by delaney on 10/13/23Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

BEST concert i have ever been to, so often artists can’t perform at the level that they show on their album and people get disappointed, but chappell was so far BEYOND that level, she made me feel safe and i had such a great experience, not every concert would be one that i would feel safe going by myself, but i made so many friends in the crowd :))

A Much Needed Break frm Reality

    by FlowerChild4 on 10/13/23Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

Chappell Roan was on a weekday and like right after work for me. So it was a commitment and I wasn't looking forward to it. I was so wrong! What a pleasant surprise! She killed it and I had so much fun! It turned out to be exactly what I needed. I got out of my head for a few hours and had the best time.
