Chance the Rapper on Tour

A live show from Chance the Rapper is a burst of sheer exuberance. The streaming-generation superstar and his powerhouse band blaze through a discography that's full of signature moments like "Angels," "Blessings" and "Same Drugs," as well as the songs he co-created with Kanye West and DJ Khaled. With a small ensemble of singers giving his set a gospel energy, it's a joyous, explosive performance. Chance originally got his tour legs opening shows on Childish Gambino's 2012 Camp Gambino Tour, but was soon launching treks of his own, including 2013's Social Experiment Tour, 2015's Family Matters Tour, 2016's Magnificent Coloring World Tour and 2017's Be Encouraged Tour. In 2017, Chance hit the festival circuit for a victory lap, appearing at Bonnaroo, Firefly, Hangout, Wireless, Essence Music Festival, Governors Ball, Sasquatch!, Boston Calling and Eaux Claires. That August, he headlined Lollapalooza in his Chicago hometown.

Chance the Rapper in Concert

Beam of hip-hop sunshine Chance the Rapper is one of the greatest independent success stories in the history of popular music — a chart-topping, Grammy-winning, festival-headlining, Saturday Night Live–hosting sensation, all without the help of a traditional record label. Born Chancelor Jonathan Bennett in Chicago, Chance began his rap dreams after hearing fellow Windy City rhymer Kanye West on the radio, and purchasing his debut album in fourth grade. In his senior year of high school he began work on his debut mixtape, 2012's 10 Day — named after he received a 10-day suspension. In 2013, he released the critically acclaimed Acid Rap, ending up on year-end lists for Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and Complex. The following year he turned up on the cover of the XXL Freshmen issue. After his collaborations on Kanye West's The Life of Pablo, Chance released Coloring Book in 2016 — together the two releases garnered him seven Grammy nominations and three wins. His 2017 collaboration with DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne and Quavo, "I'm the One" was the No. 1 song in the country. After years of conquering the industry with downloadable and streaming mixtapes, he finally released a traditional retail album, The Big Day, in 2019.

    Not enough Hiatus Kaiyote

by kerplunkish on 10/25/15The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Very disappointing if you went for Hiatus Kaiyote, as they played for about twenty-five minutes and then Chance played for seemingly 3 hours. Crowd was also very tight (physically). Both Hiatus and Chance performed well, however.

best concert i've ever been to

by ckimmy on 10/25/15The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

this was honestly the best concert i've ever been to or at least been to in a while. i love his music and his vocals are amazing. this was a sell out show and i was not disappointed at all; only thing i wish he had moved to a bigger venue. he deserves a bigger crowd!! he played most of his stuff from acid rap and 10 day, played sunday candy from his new album surf which was my favorite

Chance knows how to please his fans!

by LuKaine on 10/25/15The Electric Factory - Philadelphia

Despite DRAM and Metro coming at the end due to board control, I wouldn't trade that experience for anything!! Chance really knows how to please fans.

    Chance did not disappoint

by MGTheRealest on 10/22/15Sound Academy - Toronto

Granted, the show started late, which is expected. It was well worth it. Chance is an amazing performer live, along with his band, the social experiment. Very satisfying experience

Family matters tour was better than expected

by Tbrezzy on 10/16/15The Pageant - St Louis

I never listened to anyone in the line up religiously but after the concert I downloaded music from everyone! Don't go to concerts just because your familiar with all the artists songs; sometimes appreciating a artist means going to see them live.

Even though I couldn't stay for the whole show; the 15-20 mins I was there for was TOO LIVE! He's def one of the best performers right now. I can't wait to see another one of his shows.

The best live performance I have seen !!!!

by NewFanOnboard on 10/30/14WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

This was one of the best concerts I have attended. All of the acts were wonderful and interactive with the crowd. Chance the Rapper is so versatile and an awesome stage performer. He does well with catering to his fans and involving his fans in his performance. He does not put himself above his fans but constantly reminds them that they are the reason that he was performing. His stage performance and energy will be unforgettable and he'll have to work hard to try and top that performance.

    FUnniest Concert of 2014

    by caseface1996 on 10/29/14WVU Coliseum - Morgantown

I go to quite a few concerts every year and this was by far my favorite! Chance is not only an amazing artist, but he is remarkably funny as well. It was a great experience to see his concert. There was not a single moment where I wasn't singing or laughing. All in all, I would highly recommend seeing him.

    Chance The Rapper was unforgettable

by Sippingoose on 10/24/14Chaifetz Arena - St. Louis

This was absolutely the best show I've seen out of STL. Chance had a great vibe and Travis Scott's set was dope also, but could have been longer.

    CHANCE THE RAPPER IS EVERYTHING

by Anonymous on 10/14/14Eastern Michigan University - Ypsilanti

I went to show for Chance the rapper like most of the audience but ended up seeing a few amazing shows. Travis Scott was off the charts withe energy! I knew non of his music or who he was when I went to the show but I walked away being a fan. More importantly Chance the rapper gave me the performance of a lifetime. The band (which includes Chance) was purely amazing. Donnie, Peter, Stix, were all amazing. They kept the energy high and the music quality! Going to every social experiment show that comes close to me!

EVEN BETTER THAN HE WAS THE LAST TIME!!!!!

by Cidneybug13 on 10/11/14Eastern Michigan University - Ypsilanti

Chance the Rapper and the Social Experiment know exactly how to capture an audience and transport them to a place of complete awe! I've seen him 3 times and will continue to attend his shows for years to come. From the opening acts (Young & Sick, Sweater Beats, and Travis Scott) to the very last song, this show was one to remember forever. The perfect mix between a rave and an intimate performance, Chance genuinely gives you the best of both worlds. He even introduced new material and had the crowd singing the hook! IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!

BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE - GO SEE HIM!!!!!

by AlexxxAlexxAlex on 10/9/14EMU Connvication Center - Ypsilanti

THIS CONCERT WAS AMAZING!!!!!! I arrived around 7:30 (concert start time was 8pm) and an opening act was playing, he was good I just don't know his name, after him it was Sweater Beats, Great, and then Travis Scott from G.O.O.D Music. This guy was great too! I was not even really a fan before seeing him here but it was really good and he gained a new supporter. After him Chance FINALLY came out around 9:15/ 9:30. Once he came out it was just so amazing!! The band was great , the lighting and sounds were great, and most importantly HE WAS GREAT!!! He came off as such a humble and appreciative person. He was so respectful of his fans and his whole set was so positive. I was on my feet the whole time. He played most of my favorite songs and his new songs sounded great too. So far the BEST CONCERT THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO and I WILL FOR SURE SEE HIM IN CONCERT AGAIN!!
