I had no idea what to expect as I had never been to the Cape Cod melody tent. But I was pleasantly surprised that my husband and I enjoyed the show as much as our daughter did. The characters were excellent in their roles. We would recommend and probably see the show again!
My 5 year old granddaughter & I attended the production of Cinderella on 8/12 at the Melody Tent in Hyannis. She commented that it was "funny & not scary like the movie" and had a happy ending. We hope to attend another production next year.
Nicely done. Modernized, but keep the basic story without getting carried away. Actors seemed to enjoy performing. A great "date" for me and my 10-year-old daughter.
There were only a few actors, but they did a marvelous job. Emerald City's rendition of Cinderella was an excellent performance for all ages, especially the little ones. The actors were very entertaining and their comedic styles were very refreshing. I would definitely like to see the performance again.
"Cinderalla" was the first production from Emerald City Theatre Company I have seen. I really enjoyed it a lot. I took my girlfriend, who really loves musicals, and most of all, Cinderella. Cinderella was different from the last musical we saw, "Wicked." We expected a more formal atmosphere, however, we were surrounded by so many children and their parents. That didn't affect our experience negatively in any way. Cinderella was funny, original, and amazing! We are looking forward to Emerald City productions in the near future such as the Nutcracker, Peter Pan, and The Three Little Pigs.
found out that morning that my daughter sprained her ankle. i had planned on taking her to Children's but she did not want to miss the show. so i carried her around and i know this play took her mind off any pain. from the show we took a short hike to Children's ER and all was well...thanks for making an otherwise awful experience "enjoyable".
Our 3 and 4 year old girls LOVED this event and we thought it was pretty good also. We are hoping that the Kaleidoscope theatre can perform again at the Hampton Beach Casino- we would definately attend!
The Emerald City version of Cinderella was hilarious. My 5-year-old daughter and her good friend had a ball. They laughed through the show and then had a great time whooping it up with the actors after the show.
