It has been more than ten years since Celtic Woman first captured America's imagination with its self-titled first public television special. That historic concert performance launched a genuine cultural phenomenon, introducing millions of new fans to the group's fresh fusion of traditional Irish music, contemporary studio craft and state-of-the-art stage production.
Since then, Celtic Woman's evocative, uplifting music has touched the hearts of a devoted audience that spans the globe. In addition releasing CDs and DVDs that have become multi-platinum best-sellers, the group has continued to perform in front of capacity crowds on a series of sold-out concert tours.
Having been named Billboard magazine's World Albums Artist of the Year six times, Celtic Woman is a one-of-a-kind musical entity that showcases four gifted young Irish women: three world-class vocalists and a brilliant Celtic violinist, whose talent and charisma help to bring centuries of musical and cultural tradition to vibrant life in the group's recordings and concert performances.
My husband and I have always wanted to see Celtic Woman in person. They didn’t disappoint! The Findlay Center is a great venue for such performances.
The performance was wonderful. I have seen them several times over the years and every time they have been great. I was wandering how the new women would do who have taken the place of others who have moved on and they were wonderful. The new performer who played the violin was exceptional and how she could move and play at the same time was amazing. If you ever get the chance you need to go and enjoy the fantastic music and heavenly voices.
Celtic Woman is an absolutely fantastic concert. I was blown away by the angelic atmosphere and performance by these ladies. I could feel myself floating away on a cloud of joy as I listened to their performance.
As a longtime viewer of the "Celtic Women "performances presented during PBS fundraisers, I was delighted to actually see them live in Tucson, the city where I live. The two-hour performance did not disappoint. The staging, lighting and costuming provided a perfect setting for the presentation of both new and traditional songs from Ireland. The singers, musicians and dancers were all seasoned and talented professionals whose enthusiasm for their homeland and its music carried the audience along in a joyous celebration. I am grateful to have been along for the ride.
Great show. Lots if wonderful music song and dance. The whole troop was full of energy and grace. And the seating was great.
Had a wonderful time. Sat up close and we were dazzled by both the presentation and the songs. If you haven't seen Celtic women, I highly recommend you do.
I have always wanted to see the Celtic Woman in cencert. So glad that I bought my tickets. I loved the variety of singing, dancing and bag pipes. Now I want to go to Ireland.
Had a very enjoyable time! This is a talented group and very musical.
The production was exemplary in every way, Celtic Woman is so beautiful, artful, and a class production. The band, the performers, the stage, and oh the women and their incredible voices and harmony. We can see why they’ve been here for 20 years bringing us joy and hoping for 20 more! Fantastic!!
We loved the show, however we had an issue with stage spot lights. We were sitting in the front seats of the upper back and the (left and right stage) spot lights would shine directly into our eye at times. It was pretty brutal! Other than that, great show!
I've been a fan since the beginning and love seeing them in concert whenever in Tucson or Phoenix.
Don't rush to buy a ticket. Not one of the better shows. Bad acoustics in the venue with the music overwhelming the vocals. Some new songs were added but they were underwhelming.
First of all, I love Celtic Woman and have CDs and have seen them at several venues. I was so disappointed seeing them at Centennial Hall in Tucson, AZ. The sound was absolutely terrible. I had seats E110-E111 and it sounded like they were singing into a shoebox. The last two songs before the intermission had the background instruments playing so loud you could barely hear the ladies. I know the ladies of Celtic Woman are incredibly talented and this venue did not do them justice. We walked out after the intermission started, as I didn't want my memory of them tainted by this venue's sound quality.
The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the performance. It should have been more spectacular considering it was their 20th anniversary tour. The other thing was some people were trying to record the show. That was annoying.
This was the best concert I've ever been on, everything was so magical. I loved how they interacted with the public in every song. They're all super talented, it was just heavenly. <3
Phenomenal experience, would love to see again, performance was breath taking
It was one of the best performances that I have seen. This was my 5th time to see Celtic Women and this was the best! See them if you can. It is well worth it!!
These superbly talented people always put on a unforgettable performance. Not only are the women on top of the vocalist's profession but the musicians and dancers were very good and entertaining. I would have liked the performance to be longer with a shorter intermission. My own selfish suggestion. I would recommend this concert to anyone.
The show was absolutely amazing and I was mesmerized by the performance. I have seen Celtic Woman many years ago and this one was just as exciting as the first time I saw the show. Beautiful voices and wonderful music.
This year’s tour was not as good as last year’s. Song selection: I would’ve liked more of the classic Celtic Woman repertoire, especially more high tempo songs for variety (I really wish Orinoco Flow or Tír na nÓg was performed). Too many songs were low energy ballads, which of course are a staple of the group, but need to be offset by the excitement of the quicker paced songs Sound balancing: The vocals were amplified to a noticeable high level and even more noticeable by the low volume of the non percussive instruments. This was distracting at times.
