Cedric The Entertainer on Tour

It's easy to see how Cedric Antonio Kyles, famously known as Cedric The Entertainer, earned his name over the last several decades. The American actor, comedian, producer, and TV show host has spent decades delivering laughs on stages big and small. Cedric is best known for his side-splitting standup material while touring as one of the Original Kings of Comedy, a series Spike Lee later compiled into a film for America to enjoy in 2000. The powerhouse comedian is also loved for co-starring on "The Steve Harvey Show" -- a role that won an NAACP award for Best Supporting Actor. You might also know him as the lead character, Eddie Walker, in Barbershop, or as the host of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" from 2013-'14. Cedric's other projects include five seasons on the CBS sitcom "The Neighborhood," the show "Johnson" on Bounce TV, and his own HBO comedy special. Now, you can see Cedric The Entertainer live on tour as he goes back to his roots, performing hilarious standup comedy across the country.

Cedric The Entertainer Live

This happily married father of three was born on April 24, 1964, in Jefferson City, Missouri. His keen sense of style and uncanny ability to rock a hat with every ensemble started in high school when Cedric developed a severe rash on his head -- something he has said he is no longer embarrassed by but instead proud of. After receiving a degree from Southeastern Missouri State and bouncing between jobs, he decided to pursue comedy full-time in Los Angeles, where he now lives with his family. There, he'd become a major player in the 1990s Era of Hip Hop Comedy, helping to transform what initially began as an experiment into an unforgettable experience as Black comics got their voice on stage. While still an emerging talent, Cedric hosted BET's "ComicView" in 1993-'94 and "Def Comedy Jam" in 1995 before co-starring on the WB sitcom and appearing in the Spike Lee documentary. Cedric expanded his acting career while pursuing comedy and landed in films such as Big Momma's House, Get Smart, Be Cool, and Code Name: The Cleaner. The Entertainer lent his comedic voice to characters in Ice Age, Madagascar series, and Charlotte's Web. A true, all-around performer and a cultural icon, he's appeared on Broadway, in two multi-platinum albums, as the lead comedian at the White House Correspondents Dinner, and was even featured as a character in a video game. You won't want to miss your chance to see Cedric The Entertainer live on tour.

by tpolk on 7/13/09Cannon Center for the Performing Arts - Memphis

I was very dissppointed with the show, I seen him when he was on tour with the kings of comedy he was very funny. I think that the ticket were too high for the show I recently went to see eddie griffin and the tickets were cheaper and he was alot funnier.

    Cedric was hillarious

by MsKat on 7/13/09Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

I think Cedric lived up to his name and put on a very entertaining show! It was great fun. It was like being at a grown folks party where you can eat, drink and be in good company while you are having a great time! I even enjoyed the warm up comics & sponsor Kenny Smoov had it going on too!

Terrible sound in the civic center

by TeeTeeJ on 7/13/09Columbus Civic Center - Columbus

The sound equipment was terrible and the entertain was not good either. The opening comedian were not funny and to add to that Cedric gave that lame one hour show which was a bust. I could have stayed home an laughed off TV for that $40 for each ticket.

    "CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER"

by BOOGHST on 7/13/09Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

We are parents of a little guy and have not been out in a while; Although our tickets were lost and we ended up having to do the will call...we truly enjoyed the event. We will continue to utilize the will call service (as we've had tix lost before and used will call and everything was lovely). This was the second time seeing Cedric his material was new and he looked great. Our seats were amazing and we had a blast!

    Cedric - Side-splitting Humor

by luv1979 on 7/13/09Majestic Theatre San Antonio - San Antonio

The show was too funny for words!! I was hooting, howlering and screaming with joy the entire time. I kept telling myself I need to remember that one, but my memory bank was over flowing with great original material Cedric provided. Bottom line: I have recommeded this show to friends and family...and I would go again. HOPE TO SEE HIM NEXT YEAR IN SAN ANTONIO!!!!
