Unbelievable Show-10 Hours of Nonstop Rock

by briiver on 8/18/15Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Wireless Amph) - Irvine

This event was awesome. They had the bands on a turntable so as one would finish, the next band would start playing. Nonstop rock for m10 hours. I hope they do it again. I will be there if they do.

That's the way I wanna Rock N Roll

by Mack90028 on 8/18/15Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Wireless Amph) - Irvine

Riki Rachtman said he was going to bring back The Cathouse for one day only. My expectations were high but he blew them away! An INCREDIBLE day of classic rock from the glory days of Hollywood's rock scene. The event was brilliantly organized and every band put out their best effort. When concert promoters promise a great day / great show - its rare for them to follow through and really deliver. Riki Rachtman DID with this event. Incredible day and incredible efficiency in terms of band schedules. I hope this becomes an annual event !

    Cathouse Live

by Hops6 on 8/18/15Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Wireless Amph) - Irvine

Great time at the Cathouse live August 15th, 2015. Riki out did himself to put on a killer event. The one down side was with 2 stages and no down time. There was no way to see every band. Plus all the booths and stuff to walk around and see. I was center main stage and saw everyone there and a parts of a couple on 2nd stage. Opening band was a local called Swmaphammer, they were decent but only caught last song. Bullet boys were next and rocked it 5 tunes, 4 from first cd and a new one. Trixter was next, sounded great. Not a big fan so I went and checked out some stuff during them but caught last couple songs. Black n Blue rocked , being over 100 degrees have to give it to them mid day. Highlights 4 from first album and 1 form each of the other 3 records. Autograph sounded tight, new singer does a decent job. Missed Plunk though. JUnkyard sounded great, more southern rock, boring to me. but sounded great. Checked out a bit of PBF 2nd stage and they sounded good although not a fan. Saigon kick was awesome, plowed through 7 tunes and sounded amazing. LA Guns killed, rocked it and got the crown going. Dangerous Toys sounded good, I left 2nd song to go to 2nd stage for Enuff Znuff and they were awesome. Of course i am a big fan of them too lol. Caught end of Faster Pussycat, amazing reaction and sound. Pearcy was next, he was ok but he was better with Ratt. Dokken rocked but singer struggled through most of the tunes. Sebastian Bach kicked ass and then Tom Keifer put on another stellar set. Extreme sounded great and tight even with some technical issues. The night ended with all star jam including ACE FREHLEy doing 2 KISS classics. I had an amazing time and hope they do it again next year.

by Erik64 on 8/18/15Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Wireless Amph) - Irvine

Greta fun. Brought back some old school rock from my youth. Forgot how much I like this music. Great performances. Should do this concert again next year!
