Scarlet will lose her voice before the end of the run
My daughter and I totally enjoyed the show. Scarlet was great...worth seeing!
BOUGHT THESE TICKETS AS A GIFT FOR MY HUSBAND (HUGE SCARLET FAN). TO HIS GREAT DISMAY, HER VOICE DID NOT PROJECT AND SHE WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND. HE TOLD ME HE ZONED FOR MOST OF THE FIRST ACT. THE REST OF THE CAST WERE GOOD TO EXCELLENT. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER GOOD SHOWS TO SEE.
Excellent show full of timeless themes. Great cast as well. We really enjoyed it!
terrible theather, boring show, very uncomfortable seats and theater was too hot!
The show was really good. A great cast. I was very impressed with Scarlett's role as Maggie. She was the whole first act. My only problem was that I could not hear all the lines being said. If I had sat further back in the theatre I would have had a real hard time hearing the lines. All in all I really enjoyed the play.
Wonderfully delightful evening on Broadway during a dream trip I concocted for my wife's dream vacation trip. Ciarán Hinds, Benjamin Walker and Debra Monk were fantastic. Scarlett Johansson was quite disappointing. Someone needs to tell her to raise her voice pitch and SLOW down her dialog. It's not just that she put on a pretty bad southern accent but her delivery was so fast that most of her talking was unintelligible - not only to us but also to a number of folks we heard comment afterwards. Ciarán Hinds was by far the strongest and I could not imagine a better "Big Daddy".
The play was too slow moving and the topic line was dragged out to the point of boredom. There was no energy what so ever. Very disappointed.
I should have spent $150 for wicked or lion king, not this one !!!! I give one star for rating cause scallet is as hot as on movie. But that's it. Not worth it at all...
Great cast and powerful play, passionate interpretation of a classic text. Maggie, Brick and Big Daddy especially good. Very good set also.
show was terrible,Scarlett Johanson's voice was raspy and hard to understand. no physical chemistry betwen her and brick---left at intermission
All actors are great to express the characters's emotion !! I was able to focus and connect to the story whole time.
Amazing acting by the 3 lead characters (Maggie, Brick and Big Daddy) Solid play! Gripping for almost 3 hours Good value for money
Scarlett Johansson was great, Big Daddy played his part with great results. Brick was amazing.
I expected the show to be an attempt to cash in on Scarlett Johanson's popularity, but it was much more. Well acted by the entire cast, there was plenty of tension that kept the audience riveted. Scarlett's "Maggie', while not quite as sultry and sexual, as other portrayals, was still hot. A play worth seeing.
Cat on the Hot Tin Roof was a thoroughly engaging and mesmerizing performance. The Ensemble delivers the right balance between tension, love, pain and determination as they struggle with the families inter relationships.
I was so excited to see this show and was truly disappointed. Scarlett Johanssen did a credible job as Maggie - Act 1 is all Maggie - but the other actors and the direction were lacking.
Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, was very good. Scarlett J carries the first act. The cast was good. The acoustics in the area of the theater where I was seated were not good. We could not hear a lot of the dialogue. Also, some of the actors , such as "Big Daddy" gave much of their lines with their backs to the audience. Overall, I would recommend this play to others. For me to coem from Princeton New Jersey, it was worth it.
Hoped for a Home Run,but it was unfortunate that they struck out.We could not understand Scarlett most of the time,Debra Monk as Big Momma was hideous.
The play was longer than expected, however the actors kept the action moving.
