Carolina Hurricanes History
The Carolina Hurricanes were established in Raleigh in 1997 after relocating from Hartford, Connecticut, where the National Hockey League franchise was originally founded in 1979. Since their arrival in North Carolina, the Hurricanes have made the playoffs 11 times, captured six division championships, two Eastern Conference titles and the 2006 Stanley Cup Championship.
The team also hosted the 2004 NHL Draft and the 2011 NHL All-Star Game at Lenovo Center, where they play their home games. When the Hurricanes made the playoffs in 2001, against the defending Stanley Cup Champions New Jersey Devils, they lost the series but came back from a 3-0 deficit to force a sixth game — marking what many believed to be the start of real hockey in the Research Triangle.
The 2005-2006 season marked the best in the Hurricanes' history, as the team finished with 112 points, beating the previous franchise-best record of 94 points. They ended up beating the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final, marking the first time in NHL history that two former World Hockey Association teams faced off in the Final.

the seats were in a great area and the game was awesome. we had a fantastic time. Ticketmaster is the bomb.
Traveled from Wilmington and attended the game by myself!
My 2nd hockey game but won't be the last thanks to the wonderful staff at the PNC center opening ceremony was beyond amazing
Great parking, no traffic. Fun tailgating, spot in the shade. PNC is a great venue, beer for $5 not bad. Had the cheap seats but looked down on goal from the corner, great view of the entire ice. Fans in our area were great. Loved it all. Spoken as a Bruins fan.
Canes making playoff fantastic! Best season in years! Seats great!
PNC is a great venue to watch a game. Great to see the Canes despite the loss. Staff at the venue are very friendly and accommodating.
Our family travels here (200 miles one way) 3-4 times a season to see NHL hockey. Both the PNC and Carolina Hurricanes employees are always kind, helpful, and friendly. Facility is always clean. Easy access on and off the interstate highway. Jf you like ice hockey go and have a good time!
Less hiphop, more Metal, and old school hype music rock ETC.... Hip hop is fine but your fannbase is predominantly white, your players are mostly european which rock and metal are overwhelmingly listened too. It will also electrify your crowd better then listing to little yachty...... Just saying......
Love going to the hurricanes games, love the atmosphere and the team. Definitely will be back next season. Ticket master made it easy to go to the games, and not have to worry about anything!
We are loyal fans and season ticket holders to the Carolina Hurricanes. We have loved the playoffs. Tailgating before the game, the atmosphere in the arena and the team has worked so hard this year. It has been a great hockey season and experience. We loved the STORM SURGE at the end of the regular season winning home games. Rod Brind’amour has been a great coach and the new owner has really tried to make attending the games a great experience. My only complaint is the NHL officiating. Great fun. Sorry to see the season end.
From tail-gating to the game and in arena experience was all excellent.
It was an exciting game. We had great seats. We are hurricanes fans and have been for a long time.
The PNC arena staff was very helpful in helping us navigate the arena. The staff was very professional and attentive in our section (226). The arena and seating area was very clean. Staff was very attentive to make sure each fan had their cheer towel at their seat. The vendors providing food and drinks were very good. The Ticketmaster site was very easy to use to locate seats that were original and not resales. And of course, Game 4 against the NY Islanders was awesome, winning in a full sweep.
Great seats at PNC Arena for Game 4 of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. They were affordable, comfortable, with great site lines despite being in the 3rd deck of the arena. It was an easy buying experience and likewise a wonderful event. Go Canes!
I’ve been a fan of the Canes for several years now. This was the first NHL playoff game I’ve been to and it was electric. The atmosphere was incredible and the fans were so loud! The only thing I would change is the concession prices. Very pricey.
This is absolutely the LOUDEST HOUSE in NHL. We have followed the Canes for years... to DC, PA and absolutely LOVE our experience in the PNC arena... None other like it! Go Canes!!
The best sports experience money can buy. Even my wife likes this stuff!
Had a great time at the game can’t wait for the next series go hurricanes
AMAZING! I hate to say this but worth every penny. What a Game! What a show!
