Carolina Hurricanes History
The Carolina Hurricanes were established in Raleigh in 1997 after relocating from Hartford, Connecticut, where the National Hockey League franchise was originally founded in 1979. Since their arrival in North Carolina, the Hurricanes have made the playoffs 11 times, captured six division championships, two Eastern Conference titles and the 2006 Stanley Cup Championship.
The team also hosted the 2004 NHL Draft and the 2011 NHL All-Star Game at Lenovo Center, where they play their home games. When the Hurricanes made the playoffs in 2001, against the defending Stanley Cup Champions New Jersey Devils, they lost the series but came back from a 3-0 deficit to force a sixth game — marking what many believed to be the start of real hockey in the Research Triangle.
The 2005-2006 season marked the best in the Hurricanes' history, as the team finished with 112 points, beating the previous franchise-best record of 94 points. They ended up beating the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final, marking the first time in NHL history that two former World Hockey Association teams faced off in the Final.

It was a wonderful game and such a great experience for my grand daughter's first hockey game!
I scored a fantastic seat right on the red line, 8 rows from the ice. It was a famtastic win seeing almost all the guys back in the rotation after COVID Protocols. I just wish that PNC was more efficient inusing the mask mandate. Great game, though!
Entering the event was easy, lines for concessions moved fairly quickly, and the staff was courteous. I only wish that the mask mandate was actively enforced. There were a decent number of fans in the section I was in who did not wear their mask after they stopped eating and drinking.
Stop with the wokeism. No masks stop virtue signally and caving to the pressure from democrats.
It was great to be able to see a live game again! It was a great game, (if you’re a Canes fan!), and just being able to sit in the arena like “normal” was awesome! It was good to be somewhat normal in that regard. If you don’t want to risk it stay home! It was a great time and there were hand sanitizer stations in various locations. Use common sense and enjoy the games! Oh and #LETSGOCANES!
Took fiancée and daughter to game. Never seen Kings play outside Staple Center. Even though Kings lost, We had an awesome experience. From food venders to the people that worked in the aisles very respectful and helpful. I would definitely go again next time Kings visit.
For the most part the game was good. Could have done without the guy behind us screaming lets go brandon. Would have been nice to enjoy an evening without politics. The only bad thing about PNC arena is the seats very uncomfortable
Thank you Carolina Hurricanes for your Black Friday sales promotion. The few times I have attended games over the years my seats have always been in the 300 section. For a guy that doesn't like heights, it didn't make for a pleasant experience! Your Black Friday promotion allowed me to be able to purchase a seat in the 100s section (center ice a few rows above the penalty box) at a price within my budget. I loved the view - and the fact that they won was rather awesome as well!
We attended the game and it was AWESOME the seats I purchased from Ticketmaster were on the ice and my family and I had a great time. The food was great and the lines for food and beverages moved quickly for the amount of people that attended the game.
Had an awesome time, thank you to all of the staff that make these events such a great experience.
Staff are not helpful at all. Food and drink are way overpriced
It could just be me, however, I didn’t know that if the arena was doing special events/items for guests, you had to purchase the tickets through a specific link. When we purchased ours through Ticketmaster, we were told we were not able to get the t shirts for Star Wars night because we didn’t have a voucher. So, it was a little disappointing to spend SO much money through Ticketmaster, and not be able to get anything. I would just recommend making sure there aren’t any events going on before purchasing tickets, otherwise, you may have a similar experience.
I absolutely love going to Canes games. My first introduction to hockey was a live game shortly after Canes came to Raleigh. That sold me and now I am an avid fan. The sport and entertainment makes it a great event to share with your family.
Other than the nachos being a bag of chips with a cup of cheese, it was amazing!
It was my first NHL Hockey game and I got to take my daughter and wife. It was a away game but you couldn’t ask for nicer fans. Traffic flowed out of the game good, overall was a great experience.
Parking was unclear and difficult to get to. Seemed only one way in which was terrible. Secondly there was a health screening at the door we were not made aware of. We had to download and form and fill out the survey at the door instead of being notified and able to do it ahead of time. Lastly it seemed two of our seats (out of four) were double sold. Someone else was sitting there, fortunately the staff let us move down a little to some better seats that were available for our whole party to sit together.
This game was a lot of fun. The staff at PNC arena did an excellent job. Moving through the ticket line, security, concessions etc all flowed smoothly. Staff was friendly and helpful, and we had a great experience. Thank you!
The PNC ARENA was a very nice place to go a hockey game. The personal were friendly and nice. I would go back to see another STL BLUES GAME there. The parking could improve a big bunch. The staff didn't know where handicap parking was. Needs work to get people out of the lots.
one beer and one cup of wine was over 40 dollars excluding tip that is highway robbery
We have not seen PNC Arena in 18 months, so we were extremely excited to be there for the game. As always, the staff was professional and courteous, the food was delicious, and the game was fun!
