Carolina Hurricanes History
The Carolina Hurricanes were established in Raleigh in 1997 after relocating from Hartford, Connecticut, where the National Hockey League franchise was originally founded in 1979. Since their arrival in North Carolina, the Hurricanes have made the playoffs 11 times, captured six division championships, two Eastern Conference titles and the 2006 Stanley Cup Championship.
The team also hosted the 2004 NHL Draft and the 2011 NHL All-Star Game at Lenovo Center, where they play their home games. When the Hurricanes made the playoffs in 2001, against the defending Stanley Cup Champions New Jersey Devils, they lost the series but came back from a 3-0 deficit to force a sixth game — marking what many believed to be the start of real hockey in the Research Triangle.
The 2005-2006 season marked the best in the Hurricanes' history, as the team finished with 112 points, beating the previous franchise-best record of 94 points. They ended up beating the Edmonton Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final, marking the first time in NHL history that two former World Hockey Association teams faced off in the Final.

Win or lose, Canes games are always a blast!! We go as often as we can.
We always love going to PNC Arena, it's the best arena to watch the Hurricanes. The atmosphere is always fun and electric
There’s nothing like watching an NHL game Live compared to watching on TV. I’m hooked
Was a great game! Had a lot of fun and the seats were amazing!
When the temperature is below freezing it would be nice to let people in a few minutes early! Not only was it cold but people were not staying safety away from each other!
Bought the tickets, was told Sect. 120, SOA Seats 7-8. Well I and about 120 other people didn’t realize the seat numbers meant nothing. We were all standing room only. Seemed since they gave us all seat numbers, we all thought we could sit. NOT. The game was nice, nothing special. The bags of popcorn were $7, yes $7 for standard sized bag. If you wanted about 4 chicken tenders that would run you $14. Parking $20.
Purchasing the tix was very simple and it was easy to add it to my virtual wallet. The entry into PNC was without challenge and the views from my seat were phenomenal.
The game was fabulous (we won!) and the seats were awesome (Club level, center ice). Only negative--wish more people were wearing their masks. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!
Great time great home crowd will attend more in the future
we had the best seats and the game was really exciting and we won in overtime an as always the bbq nachos were killer. Cant wait to come again. You could lose the rap music though and it would be better.
Super easy and convenient to use! Love how all my info is in the app!
Easy getting in and out of the arena. Great visibility from all seats. Home fans cordial to opposing fans.
Wasn't able to go to the game because my daughter and her husband came down with Covid a day before the game. It was going to be their very first live game. Bought hats and sweatshirts for the occasion. Tried to sell the tickets but didn't get any offers. Lost $ on the parking too! Too bad....we won 4 to 1 against Vancouver.
Staff was helpful, really enjoyed being at this game, can’t wait for next year!
Took my sons to an NHL game for the first time and they loved it. The seats were excellent (even up high), the fans were great and the entertainment - between whistles, between periods and the introduction footage and music were top notch. I would definitely take the 4 hour drive again to come to game there. Well done by all. Concessions are a tad pricey but I guess that is pretty much the case everywhere. I suspect you could come down on prices some and sell even more of them!
It started with no warning of needing a health clearance to enter. Total joke in acquiring and great loss of time without getting assistance. Concourses don't have enough and varied choices for food unless you are on a "liquid diet". Even after making a food choice, no utensils available and event staff very sparse in obtaining any causing further delays. Not one of my better events.
The seats were fantastic, but alas the Hurricanes lost 6-0. Always a great time at a live hockey game.
Had a great time at PNC (despite being a Florida Panthers fan). The staff was super nice and helpful and even let us watch the team warm-up prior to the game. They were knowledgeable about directions and procedures. Even the fans were friendly and courteous.
First time attending Hurricanes game and we will definitely be back! Great seats! Great action! And the staff made sure to send Stormy, the mascot, by our seats to take a selfie with my autistic son. Great experience!
Got Hurricane tickets though Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster sent me pregame covid requirements and all. Went straight in!!! Outstanding!
