Carol Riddick Tickets

This was a disappointment. I heard this combo in a Hotel environment +/- 2 years ago and it was WONDERFUL. However, acoustically this group was so wrong for this venue. I had read how the acoustics were great in this room, but not this night. We sat in the middle of the room, and the echo was such that we could barely hear Carol sing, nor could we barely hear Gerald's bass. The percussion was so overwhelming. There was a sound technician, but I am not sure what he was listening to, vs what the sound board was telling him.

Superb! A truly wonderful interpretation of Ms Simone. The smaller venue space kept it intimate. I was fortunate enough to have previously heard Gerald Veasley perform but had never heard Carol Riddick. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint, transitioning her personal style to the music of Nina Simone. All at an incredibly low price. What a value! The was my first visit back to Berks County in 20 years. It won't take me that long to return to this picturesque backdrop.

The jazz festival was terrific. The atmosphere was beautiful.. All the performers was great.

Carol has a marvelous voice that covers many ranges. Would see her again.
