CARL COX IN CONCERT:
Calling Carl Cox a house music legend is an understatement. The British DJ and producer got his start playing underground raves in the '80s -- well before the mainstream even knew what a rave was -- and today he boasts his very own stage at some of the world's biggest electronic music festivals, including Tomorrowland and Electric Daisy Carnival. Whether he's dropping funky remixes of artists like Moby and Art of Noise or unleashing bangers of his own like "I Want You (Forever)," Cox is sure to have fans sweating on his upcoming tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Carl Cox's love affair with dance music began at age 15 after he was given a pair of turntables. He quickly immersed himself in London's budding dance music scene, playing sets of disco, rare groove, and electro at underground raves around the city. After being introduced to Chicago house in the late '80s Cox began producing his own tracks, making his debut in 1991 with proto-acid smash "I Want You (Forever)." The track landed at No. 23 on the UK Singles Chart, kicking off a decade-long run that saw Cox land an impressive eight singles on the charts. In addition to four studio albums, numerous compilation mixes, and dozens of acclaimed remixes, Cox has performed at some of the world's most prestigious clubs, earning himself international recognition as one of dance music's biggest names. Today, Cox continues to wow at festivals across the globe and introduce fans to the latest and greatest in house music.
One word. AMAZING!!! The crawed, sound, the Centak Park Staff was all great!
Amazing opening DJs and the king did not disappoint. Amazing night
Amazing!, amazing, amazing! Oh yes, oh yes! .......................................................................
The sound system was low No alcohol Short event Please no techno events with live nation 1 star review
The event had great atmosphere being in Central Park. Carl Cox killed it with his set
This event was great! Sound and lighting were on point. It was amazing to have a dance music event in Central Park. Only wish that it would have lasted longer.
Carl Cox was insane! So great to see a master of his craft at work. Production could have been a little better but when the music is that good, I’m not really complaining. Just making a note of it. Awesome night!
Great show - positive energy, lots of fun. Small venue, I liked that
Carl showed us all why he's been named "King of Techno". He gave us all an incredible show. I didn't stop dancing for his entire set.
It was an incredible show, the only thing was that CarlCox just stayed 2 hours, very short time for main artist.
Easy entry. Great sound. Great lighting & lasers. Lots of bars in the venue. Awesome sets from the openers. Carl crushed his techno set.
Love the music! Carl Cox threw down and sound was on point. Unfortunately there wasn’t much room to dance. The staff continually tried to push people into the floor when there was no room!
The event was too short and finished a little bit after midnight, bars were closed at 11:30 pm. Not worth the money honestly.
The production, music and crowd was awesome but I was disappointed at how early it ended. I feel like set times are never announced which makes it difficult to gauge the duration of the event. I expected it to go until at least 1am and was shocked when it ended at 12:15
Carl was brilliant. The acoustics guy should be fired. It was the worst distortion I’ve ever heard. South Side Ballroom…. DO BETTER!
Seeing King Cox for the first time and maybe the last event for a while was perfection. His set was absolutely just magical.
The show was amazing well worth waiting almost two years. The staff was friendly and the place was clean
Carl is a legendary DJ that played very current drum and bass with as little effort as possible.
Transparent Ticket Price. Easy to understand Process. Streamlined check-in process at Echostage. Thank You and looking forward to more great events from Factory 93/Echostage.
Carl crushed it for well over 3 hours and venue wasn’t packed and was actually a nice temperature. Best show this season so far at Echostage.
