    really disappointing

by lambjay on 8/24/15The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber Heights

Entrance music (as people arrived) was great! Classics I love. Charlie Musselwhite: First set playlist was same type song over and over, just no variety. Just plain boring. We left after his first set. He has a good back-up band.

    Pat stole the show

by Drummz on 8/24/15The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber Heights

Pat Travers was excellent, as always. Charlie Musselwhite put on a good blues harp show. Canned Heat was a bit of a disappointment. They're not a very polished or tight band. Couldn't get into it to be honest.

    Overall great show!

by Strawny49 on 8/24/15The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber Heights

Pat Travers started out the evening great! After hearing him I thought, he should have been the main act, he couldn't be topped! Man was I wrong! Charles Musselwhite & his band stepped it up. Charlie was great, as usual, and his guitarist outstanding. Then came Canned Heat, took me back to another time, another era. After 50+ years together they still have it! Great show all round!

Canned Heat was FANTASTIC - Seating was Horrible

by BoogieFans on 8/24/15The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber Heights

The Pat Travers Band tore it up. Charlie Musslewhite is a blues legend and his guitar player is on HIS way to becoming a legend. Then there was Canned Heat. What can you say - after 50 years they still broguth the house down. And Dale Spalding on harmonica is one heck of an addition to this group. Since I can't say everything I want to say about the seats I will add it here. If you can film a pack of cigaretees from outer space you can certainly move the camera from out in front of paying customers. VERY disappointed to have a 6 foot tall camera and cameraman in front of us the WHOLE time. 2nd row left is NOT worth the money.

Great music! All were entertaining! I came to see Charlie Musselwhite specifically. But ended up enjoying Pat Travers Band and Canned Heat just as much!

Great show but horrible customer service

by WayneHS94 on 8/24/15The Rose Music Center at The Heights - Huber Heights

The show was great from top to bottom. Pat Travers Band got the night going and Canned Heat put on a great show. But I would have to say the highlight of the night for me was Charlie Musselwhite and his band. Awesome show. The only bad part was the customer service. I had printed tickets off the Ticketmaster site and when I tried to entry the gate they were rejected. The ticket taker told us to go the box office. Which I did. The person who was at the box office window was super rude. Then the box office manager got involved and she wasn't much better. They finally did get it worked out, but they could have done it without being rude. I like the Rose, but after that treatment, not sure if I'll go back.

    Canned Heat

by MichaelX on 11/13/11California Theatre of the Performing Arts - San Bernardino

What a treat to see these legends of boogie and blues rock alive and kicking after all these years. Lead by drummer Fito de la Parra the band included Woodstock veterans Larry Taylor on bass and Harvey Mandel on lead guitar. Their repertoire included selections spanning their entire career with emphasis on the golden years that Mandel was in the group and included his brilliant Cristo Redentor. Great band in a great setting, the California Theater in San Bernadino.
