The set started a little rough, but as the show progressed, the band appeared to really get into it by about the fourth song. Each band member was featured on different songs, which showcased thier talents. The audience was really getting into the show. Birchmere was the best venue to see Candy, as the audience gets to be upclose and be involve din the show
WOW! Candy and her band are all the way LIVE! and worthy of the admission, truly a Great Show. Would return for another Dufler experience.

Went to the show at the Birchmere with my wife and another couple, and we were blown away. Candy puts on a terrific show. What a showwoman! Her funky sounds along with the smooth jazz were wonderful. Will go see her again. Met her in the lobby after, and she was so nice.
This was the second time that I have seen Candy Dulfer at the Birchmere in Alexandria,VA. Her eclectic style of funk is exhilarating, and every concert is an Experience. I thouroughly enjoyed it. If you like jazz, funk, smooth jazz and pop, you have to like Candy. The great show was topped off by her signing autographs and conversing with the fans.
Same as what I wrote for Paul Taylor and Alex Bugnon...too much chatter and not enough playing famous selection that we're accustom to hearing. I really wanted to her to play "you can't make me love you,"but she didn't.
Candy was phenominal! What an accoplished artist. Her band is so tight, so in synch. They are one of the most talented group of musicians I have had the pleasure of enjoying in a live performance (and I have seen many). Dulfer, even after all these years continues to prove that she is still a musical force to be reconed with. She has honed her craft and continues to keep it finely tuned. Not only is Candy sweet but that girl can really blow!
Candy Dulfer was great - the music was fabulous and the venue was great. I would go to see her again anytime.
To say Candy Dulfer is a great Sax player is an understatement. She is without a doubt an amazing performer. The way she transitions through music, combining Jazz, Pop, R&B, and funk with such ease is a testiment to her years of hardwork and training. It was clearly evident during this show how much Candy loves her profession, and cares for her audience. One of the best live show I have had the pleasure of attending. The Birchmere provides an up close and personal experience that few venues can match. It's a great place for Candy Dulfer to showcase her amazing talent.
The venue is up close an personal. Food was very good. Very nice atmosphere. Candy was Da Bomb!!! She is an excellent showman and a better musician!! We got much more than our money's worth as I think Candy got carried away with the crowd and didn't seem to want to leave. Our 1.5hr show went on for 2 hrs. Don't miss Candy Dulfer.
The atmosphere was wonderful; The Dinner was very tasty, The seating was excellent & Candy's performance was outstanding.
This is the 2nd time I have seen Candy live at the Birchmere and again, incredible!!!
The show was simply fabulous !! Candy and her band are awesome. They are full of enegry and always get the crowd moving.
