It was great !!! I seen it last year and that was great but I really enjoyed Jann Arden and Rick Mercer they did a super job hosting. I went with my daughters and niece and a good time was had by all.

  • Seating was terrible, but I had a good time!

I wish I would have bought my ticket sooner. The seats that I had were limited view and should have been labelled terrible view. All in all with the view that I did have the show was good, with a lot of great performers.

Awards were good but our seats were terrible. Will never purchase seats like that again no matter how bad I want to see an event

The show was unforgettable! It was really cool to see that many artists all in one night, and see them accept awards and it was neat seeing the "behind the scenes" of the event. Jann Arden and Rick Mercer were hilarious. The only negative was the female speaker who helped fill time during commercial breaks wasn't overly entertaining, but otherwise it was great!

The Canadian Country Music Awards was pretty good this year. They had some amazing performances and it was very cool to be there for something you can later see on tv. There are a couple things that I was disappointed in; one being the length. The show started at 5:00pm, so I was expecting to be entertained for atleast three hours. When the show ended at 7:00pm, I was very surprised along as the people sitting around me (there was never a time given as to when the show ends). If I would have known it was only two hours long, I wouldn't have wasted money on a hotel room. They also could have easily pushed the show back a couple hours. One other thing I didn't agree on was the fact the Terri Clark won and could not even have the decency to be there to accept it! I believe if they don't show up, they shouldn't be in the running any longer. And I wish Johnny Reid performed.

This is a great date night event, awesome Canadian performers and some that you may have seen rise right in front of you.

  • CCMA awards week was wonderful

I had no idea what to expect as I'd never been before and I'm not an overall fan of Country Music, just of Johnny Reid. I was taking a niece who is a huge fan of Country. Well, I was converted! Hamilton did an exceptional job keeping all of the venues together within one block. Schedules ran mainly on time and there were plenty of volunteers everywhere you looked who were more than willing to help you out. The songwriters' cafe and Great Guitar Pull were wonderful, intimate venues with great songwriters. The free five hour FanFest on the rooftop of Jackson Square was wonderful. Where we stood we were able to take photos of all of the singers. The T.V. taping of the BIG EVENT was terrific fun, followed by the reception where you could speak to your favourite singers. Great food!

I had purchased "Advanced" tickets and was excited to see that I had received "Floor" seats. Upon arrival and getting to our seats I noticed that we were indeed on the floor but one of the last rows on the floor - I did not think that Row 11 would be so far back. There was a small stage just ahead of us which I thought maybe we will get a chance to see the performers come up to this stage. Again I was disappointed. This stage was for the "Presenters and Winners" and all throughout the show they had to face the front stage and had their backs to us! We were unable to see any of the performers as the main stage, only to see them on the Jumbo Screen which was not available all of the time, Overall the performances were good but I was disappointed with the location of my advanced tickets. I could have purchased tickets for the same price off to the side of the main stage with a better view.
