Camilo on Tour
Colombian singer-songwriter Camilo Echeverry -- known mononymously as Camilo -- is a Latin pop and urbano artist known for his soprano vocal range. He's won multiple Latin Grammys and has penned hits for artists such as Mau y Ricky and Sebastián Yatra.
Born in Medellín, Camilo first came to recognition on the talent show "XS Factor," which he won in 2007, after which he released his first single, "Regálame Tu Corazón." The following year, Camilo appeared on Colombian telenovelas "Super Pá" and "En los tacones de Eva," as well as the childrens' show "Bichos."
In 2010, Camilo released a mixtape, Tráfico de Sentimientos. He took a break from music after that but returned a few years later, relocating to Miami and writing songs for other artists, including Becky G and Natti Natasha ("Sin Pijama"), Anitta ("Veneno"), and Sebastian Yatra with Mau y Ricky ("Ya No Tiene Novio"). "Ya No Tiene Novio" became a huge hit in 2018, garnering more than 517 million views on YouTube.
Camilo Live in Concert
As a solo artist, in 2018 Camilo released the song "Desconocidos" with Manuel Turizo and Mau y Ricky. The track was successful, peaking at No. 23 on Billboard's Latin Pop Airplay chart. The following year, Camilo performed at the Venezuela Live Aid concert in Cúcuta, Colombia. Also in 2019, Camilo released the song "No Te Vayas," which got more than 59 million YouTube views. Likewise, Camilo's 2019 song "La Boca" with Mau y Ricky went triple platinum. Camilo also made his U.S. television debut in 2019, appearing at the 2019 Premios Juventud in Miami, where he performed "La Boca" and "No Te Vayas."
In 2020, Camilo released his debut studio album, Por Primera Vez, which featured the single "Tutu." Featuring collaborations with his wife Evaluna Montaner, Mexican singer Christian Nodal, Puerto Rican singer Pedro Capó, and fellow Colombian singer Shakira, Por Primera Vez landed at No. 1 on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and No. 5 on the Top Latin Albums list. It was also nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 21st Latin Grammy Awards. Meanwhile, "Tutu" was nominated for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Song, which he won. The song "El Mismo Aire" was also nominated for Song of the Year. At the 63rd Grammy Awards, the album received a nomination for Best Latin Pop or Urban Album.
Camilo followed up in 2021 with his sophomore album, Mis Manos, which debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums Chart. In 2022, Camilo released his third studio album, De Adentro Pa Fuera, which featured the singles "Indigo," "Pesadilla" and "Pegao." Camilo also announced a 2022 tour in support of the album, hitting venues like the American Airlines Center in the U.S., Mexico, as well as touching down in Spain, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Canada. The show started a little delayed, but I also noticed that a lot of people got there late. Now, the show was awesome! Camilo is a people’s artist. He moved me, made me laugh, made me cry and made me dance! His show was all and more than I expected!

The venue, Radio City Music Hall, was the ideal environment for that first concert experience. It is safe and clean. Now for the most important part: Camilo’s genuine, warm, and embracing personality filled the auditorium. His songs and voice made everyone in the hall really feel part of his “tribu” (tribe). The video scenery was so in tune to the music and lyrics. It did not distract from the performer, instead it enhanced the songs. The show was a reflection of just clean, happy songs. The next day, my daughter said, “Papá, the concert was like a hug. Thank you.” So to Camilo, gracias for creating a wonderful life-long memory for my daughter.

The venue is super cool with high ceiling, murals, and concession stands on each floor. The location is in the middle of Manhattan which is perfect. And Camilo gave an amazing and unforgettable performance! The vocal is exactly the same as in his recordings. The energy and positivity, plus the audience’s excitement, made this one of, if not the best concert I’ve been to.

We were able to find parking easily two blocks away and it was not expensive.

by Dorisimo on 8/28/22Rating: 4 out of 5I loved Camilo’s performance at Radio City Music Hall. My daughter and I had been looking forward to this concert since March. He didn’t disappoint. He is awesome. His voice was beautiful and he was entertaining. Everyone was dancing and singing the entire time. The only thing I didn’t like was that the show started late at around 8:35pm and it ended at 10:15pm. I’m thinking maybe it seemed short because all the concerts I’ve been to in the past have an opening act and he didn’t have one. He sang the whole way through with the exception of one very quick wardrobe change. Can’t wait to see him and his beautiful wife Eva Luna again. Hopefully next time the concert is a little longer.

I am very excited for the 2022 tour! We went to the concert in Chicago in 2021. We drove from ohio in a rental which broke down then we had to get it switched. We though we werent going to make it but we did! Literally 15 min before starting. We were so happy!
